If Podkolzin or his agent haven’t confirmed he wants to come over and play in North America, teams will be more inclined to take a Canadian/American/Swede over him.
So we give up a high pick to basically “have a shot” at one or two of the top free agents this year. That’s the kind of thinking that would set us back years.
Brayden Schenn - consistently healthy 1st-2nd line center, always puts up 50-60 points
Brandon Sutter - often injured bottom six center who hasn’t scored over 34 points in 10 years
How is that reasonable?
You trash literally every proposal involving the Canucks so everyone should take what you say with a huge grain of salt. Saying Gaudette is looking a lot like Jacob de la Rose is one of the most ridiculous comments I’ve ever seen. Gaudette’s a year younger and had more points than Rose in less games.
What’s the most everyone would be willing to give up for PK Subban? Honestly anyone outside of the big 5 and the 10th overall I’d bring him over in a heartbeat.
I’d be open to it if Nashville doesn’t want much and by the sounds of it, they just want to clear cap space. If they want a package including the 10th overall then forget it.
