    I’ve been saying I had a feeling Demko was fighting something the first quarter of the season and with how well he performed when he came back, that kind of backed my theory up.

    I get the hesitancy of moving a 1st, but we’re at the point of our cycle where 10th-15th overall picks really don’t do much for us unless it’s in a super deep draft. We aren’t bad enough to completely bottom out, and it’s time we start adding pieces to our core like we’ve started to do going back to last year, or we risk our core players growing impatient with a lack of progress.

    Blowing leads like we did in the first week of last year is what killed us I think. Never really got going after that.

    If we didn’t have 5000 wingers I’d honestly think about it, but I highly doubt we would. And in all honesty, if he knew as much as Toews did about the Beach situation, then he should be getting the same treatment that Toews is getting.

    He’s just not the same player he was a couple of years ago. An aging defenseman on a big contract and already a somewhat significant surgery, we’ve been down that road before and I highly doubt we wanna do that again.

    He’s never had the greatest attitude and hey, if it doesn’t work out, they still have Mason McTavish and Leo Carlsson as their potential 1-2 centres for the next decade.

    I’ve been saying since June that Brett Pesce fits that bill perfectly. Bring him in, sign him to a 5 year extension and by the time that’s up, guys like Willander, D-Petey etc., should be developed enough to come and contribute full time. Just makes too much sense imo.

    If it’s moved for another top 4 RD I’d be ok with that since that’s the only other thing we really need right now.

    This is where I disagree and say far too many people are sleeping on Beauvillier and casting him aside like he’s nothing. You gotta remember he was in a defense first system in New York and was on pace for a career high in points after coming here, and fit in rather seamlessly. If anything get him on line two and swap Garland for Höglander.

    I agree with much of this article but these two paragraphs/situations kind of contradict each other don’t they? You can’t overplay your best players but at the same time put them on some kind of load management plan.

    You can certainly blame him for not telling them to make adjustments when necessary.

    Espinal pinch hitting for Biggio and he looks at meatballs right down main street this team is so unserious.

    Yet the same guys will go out of their way to gas up the Garcia’s of this team only to see them get lit up on a nightly basis.

    Yeah, I felt the same about Chapman then a few days later he was put back on IL too. I get wanting to be a difference maker at this time of year and wanting to tough it out but if it’s obvious some lingering issue is hurting more than helping then he shouldn’t be playing.

    I honestly think he’s playing through something, because this is just not the Vladdy we’ve grown accustomed to seeing. He’s just not himself.

    I wonder if his potential involvement in the 2018 scandal scared us off, because I sure would have liked to have brought him in.

    Except it was clearly obvious to everyone that he was playing through some kind of injury/discomfort, and once he got healthy he was back to being Thatcher Demko again.

    That’s the general consensus, and it has in the past after T2’s products have been given approval. The last time they were given approval, it jumped $40. However I’m not sure what the share price was at the time it did jump.

    We’re currently past the 90 day mark, but since the clock stops whenever the FDA asks a question and won’t resume until it’s answered we don’t know for sure, but I have seen speculation they like to release approval statements on the 5th of a month next Wednesday maybe?
