It's hard to be supportive when the team seems to be committing blunder after blunder.

A real game changer

Prokop is the guy I really want out of Nashville.  Given their ownership situation, I wouldn't be surprised if he's quietly asked for a trade.

Don't they have an internal salary cap?

They are $2 million shy of the cap, so maybe ownership was ok with raising it?

@J-23 I’d almost be willing to give up Höglander and a pick to get out of it without retaining any salary. 

7.26 untill 2028. Probably need at the very least a 1st to move that cap without retaining.

Moving OEL or Myers is great for helping with the cap. But you will need some defencemen to take their spots.

OEL has had more solid games for us than Loui E had solid shifts for us.  

That said, his cap hit & his effectiveness in the last season or two of his contract is going to be rather painful.

I think having two number one Ld is not helping not enough puck as the old saying goes.

Drafting top 3, or top 5 would be a huge win in itself this draft tbh. Lot of great players to be had. Bedard would be a dream come true but there are other potential franchise players to be had.

Both of those guys would be nice but finding a good solid shutdown right shot center should be priority #1 along with finding a guy like Manson. 

he's an RFA... I'd be fine with an offer sheet on him, force Vegas to cough him up. 

I don't know Roy's contract situation (his QO and how that fits Vegas' cap) but one guy I'd look seriously at is Nick Paul.  Seems like he'd come in at a lower AAV than a guy like Roy but provide similar value on-ice. 

I keep hearing Manson's name being brought up, but like everyone else I just watched the Avs sweep the Coil, and witnessed Manson get absolutely exposed defensively throughout that series which makes me re-think that idea.

Colton Parayko would be perfect.  Parayko's don't grow on trees however.

Damon Severson would also be perfect.  How do you get him out of Jersey though is the problem...

Blues aren’t trading Parayko, he’s why they were ok with letting Pietrangelo walk. Severson is certainly a possibility though.

This actually looks pretty good. 

This would be my off-season plan. It would be more around the works of building the team around Petey, Podz, Demko, and Hughes so when they hit their primes a few years down the road, we will be ready to go. Hard re-tool. Not so much for trying to be a Playoff team next year, but if we do make the Playoffs it will be a bonus.

What we should focus on?

- Saving our D from top to bottom

- Third line

- Acquiring a young RD, like Schneider or young guy with upside to play with Petey like Lysell

Off-Season Decisions:

- Miller for Schneider++, Lysell++, something like that. If we can't maximize our return just re-sign him

- Boeser move out. Zacha was rumored, who I am not high on, NJ would def have to add. Interested to see what type of interest there is for him around the league.

- Myers, have to find a better fit for OEL

- Pearson, love this guy, never loses a puck battle, do we sell high or keep. 

- Dickinson, see if we can ship him out.

- Poolman move out that money

hopefully we can get sutter back next season.

An extra pick. We should have done more in my mind. Cant keep swimming in mediocrity. Need to trade a good player to get multiple good younger players 

I think any big moves like Boeser or Garland would happen at the draft ornduring free agency, especially with new management.  

stawns has no love for our boy Brock  its OK everyone is allowed an opinion.

Personally I think we have yet to see his best and he'll be great for us. 

Brocks got 18 even strength points this entire season. 8 count em 8 goals from our elite sniper getting all the cush ice time. 

Connor Garland 29 even strength points 13 goals. 

Bo Horvat 20 even strength goals

Tanner Pearson 11 even strength goals.  

Pod 10 even strength goals

Hoglander 8 even strength goals

Brocks a floater who plays in the soft ice never challenges anyone for a puck, spins off checks he's a glorified PP specialist who quite frankly any number of the guys listed above deserve his minutes. Brocks been having his tires pumped for years. I would be shocked if a team gave up a 1st + for him. 

Boeser will sign a team friendly deal, sounds like he likes it here too much and doesn't want to leave.
