Is there honestly much of a difference between your typical high school and Canucks twitter in terms of the amount nonstop childish drama, bickering, back and forth nonsense?
-
Head office coming in clutch and letting us wear tshirts and shorts in the kitchen during this heat wave
-
Benning wants to be aggressive? Throw the kitchen sink at Landeskog and then find a way to get Jones for a decent deal.
-
I honestly don’t think I’ve seen any Canuck/ex-Canuck more overrated than Stecher and I was a fan during the Mason Raymond days.
-
I’m sorry, but if you’re on twitter all day long complaining about how the GM of your favourite hockey team runs it, even going as far as stalking him at a grocery store, you really need to rethink your life priorities. And probably get one as well.

**Trying really hard to not lose it on a coworker who spams facebook with anti vaxx/anti covid crap and then pulls the “oh it’s my opinion I respect yours” card

@Pears those people are annoying but there are also people that are annoying from the other side. Facebook is the worst place for... well pretty much anything. Solution is to stay away from Facebook
-
@VancouverHabitant Oh don’t get me wrong I know, they just aren’t as vocal.
-
No @VancouverHabitant. I’m absolutely not saying that. I’m saying that the short term complications as a result of getting the virus itself are far more frequent and far more severe than from the vaccine. The complications absolutely do exist - I know someone in my age group (low 20s) who had heart attack like symptoms post vax.

Can someone please explain to me why Benning gets all the heat but Green gets a free pass despite having a record similar to Willie Desjardins while he was here?
-
Ok if Gaudette got ran out of town because of his covid situation that’s a new low for this fan base
-
Gaudette was a player with declining performance, did not become a solid third line centre, was the lightest player on the team at 170 pounds and struggling to maintain it, and will require a new contract nest season, along with guys like Quinn, Petey and Demko, among others. He has actually regressed. If he had put up big numbers and had turned into the centre they hoped he would be, he'd still be here. He didn't, so isn't.

Buffalo is helpless.
-
How does someone not get fired. Blowing 2-0 and 3-0 leads back to back, especially in our situation, is unacceptable.

@NUCKER67 Not a chance. They aren't interested in player development there (not that Green is great in that area as he tends to lean on vets). They expect more than results. One anglo head coach coach got demoted (essentially fired) in the offseason after winning the Stanley Cup as coach! Tough crowd. All Green has won as a head coach is a 'participation medal'.

Lol imagine the chaos if Ovechkin gets to free agency?

[Proposal] Jake Virtanen for (insert other struggling players name here)
-
Huh...5 goals and 8 points in 8 games?
-
I really like how the us government declassifed thousands of ufo cases and literally no one cares about it.

“Take Canada Back” is Canada’s version of “Make America Great Again”

Anyone ever have one of your best friends straight up lie to you about something after telling you she doesn’t lie at all?
-
People are making Stecher out to be a bigger loss than he actually was it’s getting pretty ridiculous.

Well, here's the deal. It's about the compete level. The work ethic. The dedication and determination to the sport.
Sure, he wasn't the biggest guy/threat out there. But he did not get pushed around...low base of support meant his stance could keep him in the battle. A big team, pfffft. The harder they fall.
Love Stech...wish him well. He wasn't irreplaceable by any means. But he had heart and this was his team. -
He worked hard, he's a BC guy, he loved being a Canuck, and he's easy to root for. No surprise fans got attached. But yeah, as a player he's pretty replaceable.
That's hockey, rare is the player who never moves on from their team. It's why having the twins their entire careers was so special. It's why I'm hoping Edler wears our colours until he retires, after hitting 1k games. Most teams only have a few players like that.
You've gotta enjoy players while you have em on your team, because in the world of pro sports it's unlikely they'll be yours forever.

Our forwards in a couple of years are gonna be silly lol I can’t get over it

@Phil_314, Is Hoglander bowlegged?
No, he is not, and therefore could never be another Shink.
-
I’d be so, so down to see a Motte - Hawryluk - MacEwen 4th line at some point this season

BREAKING: Hearing the Flames are signing the Green Men to a lucrative 5 year contract to annoy opposition players in the penalty box. They will now be known as the Red Men.

Really hoping Ferland has benefited from all this extra time off

What would we have to give up?

@luckylager how would that work with the cap though?
-
Have an assigned practice roster. Cap wise, just treat the practice roster as you would Utica. Any movement between the practice roster and the Canucks is treated like normal waivers and those cap implications.
The bubble will still be a very real necessity in 2 or 3 months... or even a year or more.. whatever.
Teams will need a bunch of players bubbled to deal with injuries, call ups and quarantine.

@King Heffy Think like something similar to the taxi squad the mlb used
