Chiasson skates like he’s in quicksand and if he isn’t parked in front of the net his offensive abilities are very limited. Petan at least can skate and has above average playmaking ability, as shown by his over ppg career in the AHL.
You can’t with a straight face tell me Petan would be less effective at the NHL level than Chiasson. He at least relies on more than just burying tap ins on the powerplay.
