He's already signed his entry level contract. He got that out of the way when he was still seventeen, which could partially explain his average play this year, along with the off season shoulder surgery which prevented him from training properly in the summer, of course.
They had Virtanen over Horvat too, and Corrado still criminally underrated at 11, so yeah, they don't seem to have the best handle on our players. All in all, Virtanen got a reasonably good assessment from them though.
His points per game totals were almost identical to last years' so I don't think you can say it's been a horrible season statistically.
He made the U-20 team as a very young 18 year old and put up point per game numbers again and he was coming off of shoulder surgery this year. Maybe he has a big playoff yet, who knows.
I want to see what he does in a full healthy season next year.

Some interesting insight into Kyle Pettit there as well.
Exactly. Corrado needs to play. I was hoping Clendenning would go down too, get him some ice time in his last year in a non-waiver AHL situation. That would give the Comet's a helluva defense too!
Are we really carrying fifteen healthy forwards and nine healthy defensemen right now? I thought there was a league imposed limit of 23 or 24 including goalies?
