  1. You have Virtanen too high. I know he's a good ol' boy and all, but geez.
  2. Me too. He ours! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!
  3. Nope. I was waiting all season for him to make some adjustments. I don't think it's in him. I think he's earned the spot he find himself in. Why waste another full season on this guy?
  4. I've wanted Perlini or Ehlers all along. Just wasn't sure we'd drop low enough for them. We still may not.
  5. Ah. So we 'control' our own destiny then!
  6. I think so. Does anyone know if we 'win' the tie breaker with Carolina?
  7. It would have been cooler to see Smyth go out with the mullet still in place.
  8. Why must we see Tortorella's reaction to EVERY SINGLE call? God I'm sick of that shot.
  9. Scrivens got unlucky on that one.
  10. I like her at 8.5. She's good value there.
  11. Nailing down that seven hole with a shot at six!
  12. I often wonder why the Canucks players wear all the old model Reebok and CCM helmets when other teams are wearing the spiffy new high end models with all the latest fancy bells and whistles?
  13. Come on Preds. Aren't you hungry?
  14. Petry has good offensive instincts. Probably should be a forward. He can't defend worth a darn.
  15. It seems drafty in here. Anyone else feel a draft?
  16. My point is Ehlers is equally likely to grow an inch or two obviously. He just turned 18.Pat Kane was the same size as Ehlers going into the draft and was a late birth date-almost 19-even less of a physical growth window. I guess what I'm trying to say is....Ehlers is no where near small enough for his size to prevent him from being a very high pick and a great NHL player.
  17. And your opinion just so happens to be the correct one!
  18. Tampa Bay team site. http://www.nhl.com/ice/player.htm?id=8474564 "Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Steven Stamkos were both skinny and underdeveloped as draft-eligible prospects. Stamkos is now extremely fit and strong relative to his size, and Nugent-Hopkins has put on about 15 pounds over the past year." http://www.anguscertified.com/the-nhl-draft-combine-what-does-it-really-measure/ Stamkos was 5'11" 176 lbs on draft day 2008. 1) Tampa Bay Lightning : Steven Stamkos Ht 5'11" Wt 176lbs http://www.hockey-fights.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/511016/post/923254/
  19. Sixth might land us Ehlers, but I somehow doubt it. We should get something pretty good at six or seven though!
  20. Ehlers might be the second coming (to Vancouver) of Pavel Bure!
  21. He's listed at 6', and was 5'11' 175ish when drafted!
  22. Ehlers seems to outplay his teammate Drouin every time the Halifax games are televised. The seem to be exactly the same size too, so if you wouldn't take Ehlers because of his size, the same held true last year for Drouin I'm guessing. What about Stamkos? Big enough?
  23. Ehlers is listed as six feet tall. That's only a midget if you happen to be Watusi. http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=66581
