Good thing same sex marriage is legal.... ...because you're a girl

Taking me back with Kamelot. Always loved this one:
-
Yeah, that 1 year term sure is unbearable

On the up side, Maine sucking so incredibly hard benefits us. I wouldn't have wanted Hutton to be in the NCAA too much longer. He's definitely ready for the AHL and to take that next step in his development.
-
Someone needs to watch the highlights. Hutton scored in his first AHL game. Blasted up the wing alone, scored short side. The number of times he uses a drag move to get past sprawling players and the way he fires across his body from the goal line to the opposite top corner is unbelievable. He's not insanely fast but he does have speed and he can move laterally quite well.
-
So they're two examples? I can't even...

Your sig was made for that moment

So much assuming. Jake would score a goal then get benched regularly. And if you think Calgary as a team had any idea what their defensive system was supposed to be, you need to go back to timbits hockey. The whole team was lost and played like an absolute mess. The talent on that team could have gone significantly further in the WHL playoffs if they had been coached properly (or at all?).

Grenier got a one way, why shouldn't Sven? No brainer.
-
Stop picking on him guys. He's clearly Mr Magoo with his opinion of Ms. Cuthbert and it's going to be an absolute tragedy when he realizes he's actually been using Grindr all this time.

What in the actual &^@# are you talking about? Hunter is absolutely relentless in the corners and in front of the net. What games are you watching? You get Hunter is #9 right?

Erik Karlsson:

Wow, that is duuuuumb. Someone started their 4th of July drinking early. He's 5'11" 185lbs.
-
I was excited from the moment the pick was called, for the record.
-
Maybe you should look up El Nino. It's kind of a thing we've known about for the past few decades.

CA also says that the small cohort and Boeser's higher boxcars compared to those in the cohort leads to a significant underrating of his potential by PCS (currently 27%). Simply put, they don't have a proper range of analogues to compare him to. And this is the same model that predicted Bo Horvat had a 24% chance of making the NHL in his draft year. He's now at 84% (and more realistically, he's as sure a thing as they come to be a 2C at minimum). Either that 57% jump in Bo's PCS is because the methodology is pretty poor, or his improvement is due to "intangibles" and Benning is drafting the right way.

Pretty clear that a lot of folks who had no idea who Brock was are complaining, still with no idea of who he is. The kid walked into the USHL and came first in goal scoring and second in points peer game (behind Connor) as a rookie. If he was in ANY other junior league with that level of performance, you would all be losing your minds.
-
I don't recall this being about my predictions (which were and always have been 1-2C for Bo) but about Canucks Army analysis being garbage as it relates to Jake (and Bo). Analysis that is unbounded by any confidence interval is pointless. You seem to adhere to CA's findings like dogma but then admit they are so broad that they can never be proven wrong because every outcome is possible. "X is likely" isn't a useful statistical finding without saying how likely and the chance that X will fall within a specific range. Without those elements, CA's findings are about as reliable as asking the guy in the corner of the pub who will always reply "It might do".
-
I think the key words there are "I believe" because with no CI, their findings are useless-to-misleading. CA said that Horvat would be a 3C, then hedged their bets by saying he could be a 1C. We'll say that is 2 sigma in the upward direction, implying that he could fall an equal amount down to a 1C in the AHL or a 13th forward. Yeah, what a blessing their model was. Their implied confidence interval means that with all that data they predict that Horvat would probably make the NHL. Bang up job CA, next they'll predict that all 6 of the Lotto 6/49 numbers will be between 1 and 49
-
CA will always leave an out like "most likely" but then write in absolutes. If they truly thought there was a wide range in their predictions, they would have computed a confidence interval or prediction interval. They've never done it once. Canucks Army without Drance is just an excuse for a couple mopey nerds to present their biases through flawed statistical analysis.

A great professor of mine once said the following about raising funds for an entrepreneurial venture: "A great presentation about a crappy business idea will fail eventually, but a crappy presentation on a great idea will fail immediately." So yes, if you can't present your ideas no matter how great, they die immediately. Welcome to the real world.

Geez. how many points would Sven have had if he had someone with some finish instead of Freisen on the wing?
-
Said almost all of CDC, but he led a good Belleville team in the locker room and the scoresheet. He's been underrated for a long time and Travis moving him to the wing was the best thing ever. Really forced him to play a style that dramatically improved what he can bring to an NHL spot.
-
Forgive me if I highly discount your opinion based on the fact that you don't know the difference between a verb and a possessive pronoun. People are awfully angry about the goalie situation given that 2 of our 3 were signed for nothing.

Heard some rumblings that Jon wargs out of his body after being stabbed. Just theories at this point, especially since we don't see his eyes go white and he's never done it up to this point. Not too worried about Arya either. If she loses her sight because she pissed off a God by killing the wrong guy, it shouldn't be that hard to pay back that debt. Frankly, I'm starting not to care. GRRM clearly can't write worth a crap and no amount of HBO writers can save this. Soon it's just going to be Sansa and Jora the Explorer and no one is going to give a crap anymore. If this show was just Daenerys, Jon, Arya, Tyrion and Bran, it would be infinitely better. Also, how was this a season finale? This was worse than most of the other episodes.
