For a song that came out in 1988 it's amazing how they described the political landscape in 2022. Some absolutely great lyrics ..... I used to trust the media To tell me the truth, tell us the truth But now I've seen the payoffs Everywhere I look Who do you trust when everyone's a crook? I used to think That only America's way, way was right But now the holy dollar rules everybody's lives Gotta make a million, doesn't matter who dies

Gotta feel kind of bad for Huberdeau. A 115 pts, 85 assist season just doesn't get you the respect it once did. -
He does have a posse of investors but he's the face of the whole deal and he wants to be CEO of Twitter. While SpaceX is a private company that doesn't have to report it's financials. In fiscal year 2021 it is believed they lost a ton of money. Which is understandable as they are building/expanding their services. Until they can show consistent profitability they won't we awarded the market you're projecting. In the end it's all about the Benjamins. What is the actual financial value of colonizing Mars? Is there anything on Mars we need? How will people actually live on Mars (yeah I know Matt Damon did it). As far as I can tell after colonizing it, it will still be an uninhabitable useless rock. So yaaaaaay.

The US dollar is not in free fall. The USD is surging against nearly every currency in the world. When US markets tumble that sends a flood of inflows into the US dollar. Rapidly rising rates in the USA help strengthen the USD. You'll notice in the figures below the countries that are either not raising rates or are raising at a much slower pace have taken the biggest beatings against the USD year to date. EUR/USD (Euro) beginning of the year was 1.1375 now 1.0378 - 5 yr low (a little bit more and it will be a 19 yr low) USD/JPY (Japanese Yen) was 115.08 now 128.35 - 19 yr high GBP/USD (British Pound) was 1.3531 now 1.2196 - 2 yr low vs USD USD/CHF (Swiss Franc) was .9121 now 1.0041 - 3 yr high AUD/USD (Australian Dollar)was .7259 now .6858 - 2 yr low vs USD USD/CAD (Canadian Dollar) was 1.2641 now 1.3047 - 2 yr high The Ruble is a special case. Russia is demanding payment for oil and gas in Rubles which creates a huge demand for Rubles. Which in turn strengthens the Ruble. -
Twitter has more leverage than Musk. Musk's main asset is TSLA. That's where the most of his wealth is concentrated. TSLA shares are taking an absolute beating since his takeover announcement. That's putting pressure on him to abandon his bid. Twitter doesn't need to sell. They never went looking for a suitor, Musk approached them. Musk is the fish on the hook not Twitter. I agree they'd sure like to sell to him for $54.20 a share. Especially given current market conditions. And I am sure he'll try to re-negotiate it lower. Either Twitter accepts a bid in the high 40's to $50 or they tell him to piss off and collect the free 1$ Billion dollars in break up fee. Twitter is in the driver's seat. Or in other words, the hunter (Musk) has become the hunted. As to your last statement. SpaceX has a market cap of $100 Billion (as of last October). Apple is currently the most valuable company in the USA at a market cap of $2.36 Trillion. Saudi Aramco passed it in market cap yesterday for the title of most valuable in the world but we'll disregard that. Assuming Apple remains flat SpaceX would need to grow approx 23x in the next 2-3 years to make your prediction come true. I will gladly take the other side of that wager.

Nasdaq is gravely oversold. I can see a short term bounce of about 5-7%. No predictions on where it goes after that. Inflation and interest rates will dictate that. -

There's no way that SpaceX's market cap is $1 Trillion. Currently there only 4 companies in the USA worth more than $1 Trillion (AAPL, MSFT, GOOG, AMZN). No way is SpaceX among them. OK I just looked it up. Several sources have it's market cap as of last October at $100 Billion. -
One of three things is going to happen.... 1) Musk takes it over for $54.20 a share. (seems unlikely) 2) Musk manages to renegotiate the purchase price lower. 3) Musk walks away and coughs up the $1 billion break up fee. Before the deal was announced TWTR was trading at approx $39.30. Since then the Nasdaq has declined approx 20%. If Musk walks away TWTR is instantly approx a $31.50 stock. There is a 0% chance that the stock trades higher if Musk walks away.

Don't quote me on these numbers (just eyeballing). Since his announcement of his intent to purchase Twitter, Tesla stock has fallen about 25%. That's a loss in market cap of about $250 billion or more than 5 times the purchase price of Twitter. Musk owns about 20% of Tesla so his personal paper loss since the announcement is about $50 billion. Doesn't seem very wise to damage the value of your biggest asset for a vanity project but it does seem like a very Elon thing to do. The crypto game appears to be over. #1) The Fed took away the punch bowl #2) There are bag holders everywhere in crypto land who will keep a lid on future price movements. What was price support is now price resistance. -

I never understood the appeal of it either. The storage of value argument never made any sense. How can you put your wealth into something that can swing +10% in a single day? To this day it still has little utility. As far as how many will migrate back to gold. The old guard who decided to dabble because they didn't want to miss out probably will migrate back. The 'crypto bros' will never go to gold because to them it's personal. And that will be their ultimate failing. Never get emotional about money. If you spend anytime on Twitter (it's actually a good way to gauge sentiment) you'll see the hard core crypto people take everything personally. Gold and silver have real world utility. Plus they have industrial uses. Even medical uses, ever seen anyone get a cavity in their tooth filled with bitcoin? Yeah me neither. -
For my money the best guitarist around. Such a shame he's only well known among guitar aficionados.

Bill Hwang was conducting a scam last year and was hiding his transactions through the running of a "family home office" with different reporting rules. Block chain would have sniffed him out before he ever got going. Wall St would have known it was all the same accounts building these massive positions in those stocks. In the end it was Investment Banks who found themselves on the hook for billions in losses from his shady dealings. Could have been avoided with sufficient reporting which block chain provides. -

Might you be confusing block chain and crypto currency? There's actually a use for block chain. If it had been implemented I doubt you'd have seen the blow up in VIAC and DISCA etc over a year ago. As far as Coinbase goes it appears your dream is becoming reality. It's a funny thing when the Fed finally takes away the cheap money punch bowl. You get to see who knows what they're doing and who doesn't. All the charlatans get exposed. Looks like all this crypto and NFT nonsense was just a result of the Fed's endless money creation. When the tide goes out, everyone learns that a currency with little real world utility is actually kinda useless.
