  1. I wish we could trade Edler for Mantha, 1st, and Franzen. Even if we had to add a little I would do that in a heartbeat. We could get a top 10 pick with Detroits 1st most likely considering Zetterberg's out. If we can get in the top 10 also we could draft Ehlers and Virtainin or Perlini. Our cupboard would be stacked pretty good for the future.

  3. Would be almost impossible to get Tavares. We would need to give up Kesler, Edler, Horvat, Jensen, 1st(2014), and a 1st(2015)
  4. How about Edler for Franzen, Mantha, 1st (2014), and Kesler, Hansen for Strome, 1st (2015), Vanek. Assuming Kesler would waive his NTC. Strome has not proven anything at the NHL level yet, the 1st is unknown and its uncertain if the pick will ever materialize into anything decent, and Vanek may just be a rental. A lot of IF'S there to give up a selke winning, Olympian, star centerman. Although if Vanek did sign with us and the other two worked out it would be an awesome return. Same goes for Edler, Olympian, Allstar team defenceman. Mantha hasn't proven anything at the NHL level, the first is mid range at best, and Franzen is a cap dump. We would be taking the bigger risks here, but could also net the higher return potentially. Its a high risk high reward. Is this a fair assesement? Do the trades seem fair?
  5. I would do Edler+Hansen for Franzen, Mantha, 1st(2014). Seems fair IMO. Gm's in a playoff spot pay up at the deadline if they want to get that extra push they need to give their teams a better chance to go far in the playoffs. I think Edler= Franzen, Mantha and Hansen=1st Now I dont think Hansen would normally command a first but we've seen comparable players net that amount in the past at the trade deadline. I believe that package as a whole makes it more even because we would be taking Franzen back. Plus I wouldn't mind seeing the mule with Hank, Dank. I think that would be interesting even though he is 34 years old. Mantha and the first would boost up our prospect pool big time
  6. I like our core, but we need to get younger and build around Kassian, Schroeder, Horvat, Shinkaruk etc. Hansen, Burrows, Edler, and maybe Luongo for the right price need to go. I'm not even going to start making proposals, but I would like to see some fresh faces brought in here for those guys..
  7. Yes I agree. Reffs make calls in their favour. We'll never win because the reffs hate us .
  8. Was that a high stick or did they just want La to win, Wow Wayne scores to top it off.
  9. I wonder if RoR would flourish with the Sedins on their line? He can be the glue on that line that keeps it defensively responsible and chip in with some offence here and there. Would be nice to get him on the team.
  10. When will you all realize that this is a process?? Geez.....................
  11. Booth back to Florida lmao. Watch him score 30 goals to .
  12. This kid will be a star. I was a fan of the trade when it happened. Kass, Kes, and Tanev are my favorites. I am proud to say I bought his jersey after that game here in Van vs Buffalo just after he was traded to us. He has way to much potential and skill to not be a dominant force for this team moving forward. I wear the jersey proudly, and just seeing him progress as a player has been a treat#Huge supporter of Kassian!
  13. Awesome game for Kassian. Love this guy! Hope his broken nose wasn't derailed with the face washing though.
  14. Surprised we haven't heard anything yet. Hope he's alright and in the line up tomorrow night. Please no concusion.
  15. It's a process fellas. Gillis is not capable of making a big trade. Actually he's scared to and he sucks at it. I'm losing my faith in him. Dear MG this team needs a #1 Dman and a top six sniper. Can you please make the trades needed to improve the team, thank you...
  16. I think Kassian's break out season will be as a 23 year old next season. He is learning all of the other important intangibles under the guidance of Torts this year which will be instrumental in his success as a all around player. He's already playing much better and with more consistency as of late. He is getting more comfortable at the NHL level and under Torts' system. This is a very important year for his learning curve. In Torts we trust . He will get him there as long as he continues to have the willingness to learn and the drive to succeed .
