  1. We must get Reinhart. I think Tanev, 6th overall, Hansen will get it done. Then we trade Kesler for a young blue chipper, a roster player, and a high pick(2014). Anaheim has the 10th. We can get a good player there. There's going to be a bidding war for Kesler because he's the best centerman available right now. Whatever we lose to get Reinhart we'll get back with a Kesler deal.
  2. I don't think so bud. It will just start some new ones about something else lol.
  3. I would so be down with that trade. I wonder If Kesler would waive to go to FLA. Our re-tool would be pretty much complete with this deal.
  4. Wasn't my proposal. I just said I'd sign up for it. Our 6th would have to be involved 100% IMO
  5. Plus we keep our 6th and draft Nylander. So we get Reinhart, Nylander, keep Horvat and lose Jensen, 36th(Whoever that is). Where do I sign?
  6. If it's Horvat the 6th won't be included. Thats to much. It would be one or the other, a roster player, and a 3rd or something like that.
  7. Lets just trade Edler, 6th, 3rd rounder for 1st overall. That's better than any package other out there. FLA gets exactly what they need. A 28 year old good defenceman, Ehlers, and a 3rd rounder. I'd like to see how many points Edler gets without the Sedins on his line. Plus I'd rather have a future franchise #1 centerman for the next 15 years than Elder, Ehlers, and we keep Tanev whom IMO is going to be better than Edler at 28 years old. Tanev will also grow with the younger guys to develop a new core.
  8. That Nylander Jersey looks sick
  9. Interesting article http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/juniors/top-two-picks-may-be-available-at-nhl-draft/
  10. I was for Ehlers from the begininng, and still would love for us to draft him, but I was always intrigued by Nylander. He was more of a mystery to me. I just didn't really know much about him. At this point I would be estatic with one or the other. I've been hearing that the Edler/Detroit talks are heating up again. If Eddy is willing to waive his NTC to go there I would love for us to get Nyquist in return somehow. Not sure if Edler alone would get it done, but if we did manage to get Nyquist that would be incredible. He would probably be what Ehlers will take a few years to become. So "if" that trade did happen at the draft I would probably take Nylander if he was available. Nyquist Nylander Jensen could be a deadly line in the future, and Daniel Henrik, Nyquist for the present moment.
  11. It's like having a team full of these guys .
  12. Does anyone have any interview links with Ehlers at the combine?
  13. I have a feeling JB will be doing everything possible to get Reinhart. If not Nylander/Ehlers please.
  14. Do you know this for a fact Absent? I'm really thinking there will be better options a 6th pick.
  15. Thanks man. Yeah I think moving Edler ++ for that pick, and getting some other parts/pieces for Kesler would be the better option.
  16. I mentioned Buff or Fla, but yeah it might not seem realistic. He most likely would be the leader (captian of the team), plus he'd be closer to his home town. Not sure if that matters. Maybe a deal revolving around Edler might be a better option.
  17. Hey minister. I respect your opinion. Wanted to know what you think of this deal. To Buff: Kesler, 36th, Schroeder To Van: Sam Reinhart And we keep our 6th overall I know it might seem like an overpayment for us, but I think thats what it is going to take to get the 2nd, or even first overall. Kesler has 2 years remaining on his contract and we may not be able to retain him. Schroeder looks like a 3rd liner at this point, and the 36th has a better chance of busting than 2nd overall. We keep our 6th and draft Nylander. Future line up: Shinkaruk Reinhart Kassian Nylander Horvat Jensen Gaunce Cassels Fox
  18. I agree. I would rather keep our 6th and Bo and trade Kes and our 36th + a lesser prospect to get SR. If that would even work to get the 2nd overall.
  19. I honestly don't think our 6th, and Garrison would get it done. That seems like a fair deal, but teams will be looking for other teams to overpay in order to move up to 2nd overall. Edit: Perfect example was Schneider for 9th overall last year. We had a possible franchise goalie there, and we traded for the unknown/unproven (albiet a good prospect).
  20. Yeah you're right. That is an over payment, but it going to take an overpayment to get that pick. I don't think we are the only team looking to move up in the draft. Reinhart is going to be a franchise player IMO. Kesler could get us some lower picks, but SR is more of a sure thing. I don't think Schroeder will really amount to anything other than a 3 liner at this point, and who knows what the 36th pick will be? It has more of a chance of busting than 2nd overall. Kesler is also 13 years older than SR, and injury prone right now. There is a big difference between 2nd overall and 6th in this draft. The top 4 players are like a tier above the next 7-8. I love Kesler as a player, and maybe he can get us something better, but I know it would have to be an over payment to get the 2nd. Just my opinion. Ps: I dont play poker that way either lol.
