Being the shiny new toy that we traded big futures for? I had him under a magnifying glass. It was plain to see just how good of a passer he was. I just looked back to March 23rd, his first game as a canuck...

Oh now I get it... just because he was a very good passer with quick reads and tape to tape passing here doesn't mean he is a good passer. And of course... he was playing injured so that's probably why he was such a good passer, it's like that baseball show called "rookie of the year" his injury gave him super human abilities. It all makes sense now. Thanks Bob!

That's super weird. The 4 games that he played with the Canucks his his passing was great, freaking lazer beams with great reads.

Yeah I heard the straight up 1 for 1 rumour that was going around. I think that was a possibility up until we bought out OEL. We could have done the trade and bought out Leblanc instead of OEL. Leblanc's buyout would have saved us 5.2 mil over Myers this season and then costed us 1.95 mil next season. The suggestion of a 2nd round pick is downright laughable. Maybe a 2nd and Myers for future considerations but even then I don't think it's worth it.

Pesce is a pending UFA. We are in no position to make a trade like that. Even if you could do a sign and trade I wouldn't be interested in a contract over 5 years, I'm sure he would want 8 (taking him to age 37).
