He will be 32 in December and those 6 straight 30 goal seasons were 10 to 4 years ago. He put up connor garland numbers last year. Quit living in the past. He is not a "top end guy" anymore.

I believe you are thinking about David Tanabe... that would have been 17 years ago under a different CBA. In his case the award was only 1.275 mil but Boston was tight with the cap so let him walk. That case was probably one of the reasons the NHLPA fought hard to get the new rule in place.
