  1. Newly-acquired Sven Baertschi (9-21-30) continued his hot-streak by assisting on Alexandre Grenier's (12-19-31) goal to give Baertschi his 6th point in 5 games dawning the blue and green. The game remained scoreless until 5:25 into the 3rd period when Cal O'Reilly (7-32-42) dumped the puck into the Wolves zone and Baertschi layed a solid body check on the Chicago defenseman that allowed the puck to ring around the boards to an alert Grenier. Grenier promptly threw the puck on net from the right side of the boards catching Wolves' goaltender Matt Climie off guard.

Baertschi has now tallied 5 points (1-4-5) in his first 5 games dawning the blue and green colours; Baertschi has been on the ice for six of the seven Comets goals they've scored since he was acquired from Calgary. Dating back to his final two games with the Adirondack Flames, Baertschi is currently riding a six-game point point streak in which he's registered 8 points (1-7-8). The former first round draft pick has 13 points (3-10-13) in his previous 12 AHL games

  2. It's not about production, it's about what's best for his development. He will be here next season under necessity.

I personally think that if he is PPG after 10 games, calling him up to the NHL is best for his development.

  3. If Baertschi can somehow crack our line-up before the playoffs...

    Sedin - Sedin - Kassian
    Baertschi - Bonino - Vrbata
    Burrows - Matthias - Higgins
    Richardson - Horvat - Hansen

We would have the deepest bottom 6 in the league..

  4. He may have brought us to the finals, but in retrospect he has screwed up a lot of things.

We had two "world-class" goaltenders and he traded both. Even though I love Kass and the only jersey I own is a kass jersey, we could have had Hodgson centering Kesler for an amazing second line. If Hodgson played 2nd line, there would have been no problems.

He also never brought our team to another level by acquiring that top 6 sniper/playmaker we all wanted..

He was decent though, so I have mixed feelings about this. I wouldn't agree with this being the wrong move though. Imagine where we would be if he didn't screw up some things? (Aquired Kadri when Luongo's value was still high, kept Hodgson and Schneider.)

  5. Yay, more rain! The Weather Network is saying we should expect some showers for the next 2 days as well.

I honestly think Vancouver looks more beautiful with Rain than Sun.

Especially when it rains at night in Downtown Burnaby or Vancouver.
