Perlini is a pure perimeter player. Virtanen is a huge bust/boom type guy. Ritchie is a project. We need depth in our system, not gambles. I'll cry if we take any of the above.

Meh, doesn't matter to me that much. Every player has his fair amount of risk-reward and especially a draft, every team is in the same boat and you hope for the best that your guy pans out. I'd take Virtanen and Ritchie. Perlini not so much, just have a bad vibe he won't translate to NHL success. Ritchie will be solid and Virtanen like you say depends on he plays. Can be a dominant top 6 player or a 3rd liner.

Perlini is a perimeter player. Like I said, project. We have literally the perfect example of how long it's going to take with Ritchie playing for us right now.. I don't doubt Ritchie's ability, but it's going to take a long long time. Virtanen can score at the WHL level.. but the thing is he doesn't always 'use' everything he has. I'm scared of another case of all the tools, but no toolbox with Virtanen. Ritchie is a guy I take 12-18 or so. Virtanen 15+, Perli...
