  1. He had 4 series wins, in 3 full years as Flyers head coach. Has 6 series wins (and counting) as an assistant with the Kings, and has a cup. The man knows how to win. Although his teams have never finished higher than 5th. He's the anti AV.
  2. Whitecaps now have 5 (MLS) wins since May of 2012. That's the month they got rid of Hassli, Le Toux, and Chiumento. They have 3 wins in the last 9 months. Scored 2 or more goals just 4 times since then.
  3. Since Rennie blew up the team, by getting rid of Chumento, Hassli, and Le Toux, the Whitecaps have won 5 MLS games in 11 months. They won 6 MLS games in a month and a half last year, before the blow up. Rennie is NOT a good coach. Camilo leads the team in goals, and yet he has been benched half the season for no reason. Rennie has had a different starting XI in EVERY game this year. He played all our top strikers the full 90 minutes against an NASL team, just 4 days before we play the best team in the MLS.
  4. One of the mods/admin clearly work for hockeybuzz. Sad how none of them will do anything.
  5. It looks like the Whitecaps will re acquire Davide Chiumento. He tweeted on the 10th that he was on his way back to Vancouver. Also a few of the guys who cover the 'Caps have tweeted hints that he is coming back as well. This is awesome. He only played 1/2 a season this year, and 2/3rds of the 'Caps total goals came from when he was with the team. There was clearly a drop off when he was transferred. He is a much better passer for the strikers than Robson
  6. EVERYtime the 'Caps have traded for a roster spot, they have made a significant move. I wonder what they got up their sleeve. I REALLY hope they take a run at Kenny Cooper.
  7. Lowest attended west final in BC Place history. This team has other issues, that are not just on the field.
  8. Do only two Grey Cups excuse all this? 03 playoffs, 2004 GC, 2005 WF, 2007 WF, 2008 WF, 2009 EF, 2010 WSF, '12 WF. A LOT of missed chances under the Buono administration. This team should have 5 Grey Cups, not 2.
  9. by reacting you just give them what they want. The CFL has just become a running/screen pass league. This was the lowest attended playoffs that featured the 3 big stadium teams (Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver) in history, and it was by over 34% Toronto's lowest attended playoff game ever with only 25k(in Skydome/Rogers Centre), lowest west final crowd for the Lions ever with 42k (in BC Place). This league is far from healthy. People are sick of certain things, that the league does not address. Not saying it was a factor tonight, but bad reffing has been a factor for two decades now. League say's they invest the max they can in the officials(They don't. Their yearly salary is less than minimum wage would be), yet Mark Cohon has a private jet that the league paid for.
  10. Hard to argue with any of your points. Caps won 3 games in the 2nd half of the season. Which marks when we traded/transferred Chummy, Hassli, and Le Toux.
  11. He ran about 15-20k in 65 min of action. Having him as our loan striker, was asking a bit much. He needed support.
  12. who cares, no one in LA seems to care about them... Back to the 'Caps. On the bright side our younger players looked really good. Watson, and Mattocks are the future of the team, and if Selgado and Tiebert can stay healthy, this team will be good for years to come. Our DP's next years HAVE to be better. Too much spent on Robson (who did look good a parts this year) and Miller (5th highest paid player in the league, and struggled all year).
  13. That was the 'Caps game plan though. Bad game plan or not aside, that was NOT a PK. Giant coincidence LA, and NY have the most PKs this year, and have the most fouls their favor. Not saying the MLS tells refs to make them win, but their star power is clearly intimidating refs. Caps had ONE PK all year. 6 teams had more in one game alone this season. How is this fair?
  14. Ref has extensive past of idiotic calls. He once awarded NY a goal after HE blew the play dead. Here is another, separate incident. http://prosoccertalk.nbcsports.com/2012/08/04/another-mls-referee-looks-the-other-way-on-red-card-foul/ He should not have been in the playoffs.
  15. BTW LA has a seat "cap" tonight. Because they stadium is on a university they signed an agreement that only limited seats could be opened for weekday games. The "cap" was lifted from the regular 7500 max, but they did not open all seats tonight.
