  1. Virtanen is fine, he's our sniper, he knows where to go. We just need a play maker to complement him in the NHL. I would buy seasons tickets
  2. No problem I can see how you took it that way. I'll go back and make it more clear. Side note, thanks for all the shift compilation videos. Very fun to watch late at night
  3. Sorry I didn't mean for it to come across that way. That was more directed to the Ehlers supporters/Virtanen haters. I just get sick of people crying over it to this day.
  4. Everyone looked off tonight (except a select few). I think the nerves of it being an elimination game were the issue. He'll do better next game.
  5. To the die hard Ehlers fans giving this kid a hard time, this is the FIRST game he's looked out of place. Let it go you freaks, we drafted Virtanen so go cheer for the Jets or the Leafs if you don't like it.
  6. If he keeps raising eyebrows with the limited ice time he's getting, he'll have to get promoted.
  7. Playing favorites or not, it's unfair to play the 4th line so little. It's not like they're plugs, you can match them up against many lines. Then again, maybe I'm just used to Desjardin's system
  8. Love the positivity Though, we will get more clarity when they face eachother. Both are excellent players, but Virtanen is more suited for our specific needs. Also has the higher potential IMO.
  9. Completely disagree. The special roles will be given to whoever is coming to play. Lazar may get the first look, but if Virtanen is performing he'll get promoted. Considering how Team Canada has been getting scrutinized over their team building, the best players will get the important roles.
  10. I love how he's trying to connect with everyone
  11. Thanks for the heads up, I've had it bookmarked for a while though
  12. I would be ecstatic! I live in K-town so it would be amazing to watch him play
  13. I don't see how it's a bad thing though. It certainly wouldn't harm his development since he's playing no matter where he is. If he doesn't stay, a taste of the NHL would do nothing but motivate him IMO.
  14. Don't be concerned people, this explanation is the reality. Reevaluate after Christmas.
  15. I was with ya buddy! So happy he's in our system, he really has the potential to be an Iginla type player. Plus, him being a Canucks fan and a character guy are very important added bonuses IMO.
  16. Here's hoping he breaks the record tomorrow! Common Marky!
  17. He needs ice-time, but he also needs to earn it. So starting him on the 4th isn't that bad of an idea. Also didn't we start Hodgson and Kassian on the 4th line?
  18. He also wants to become a complete package, so the potential of a Jarome Iginla isn't out of reach.
  19. I would but it's closed right now I think we'll find out tomorrow anyway
  20. Was thinking the same thing I would love to see either of those combos!
  21. Nicely put I'm extremely happy with today. - Love the return we got for Kesler, still a little upset with losing Garrison put the player we pick tomorrow will probably make up for it. - I would have been happy with whoever we picked, but Virtanen was my favorite and I'm glad we got him. There's so much potential there. - And who knows what McCann will turn into? I didn't know his IQ was ranked so high. - Plus with all the capspace, we are set up beautifully for free agency. Safe to say Benning>Gillis and he hasn't even begun! Edit: Not to mention we didn't trade Shinkaruk, I was quite uneasy about that rumor. Quite an exciting day
  22. I have a good feeling he's going to shine bright next season
