  1. FWIW, Craig Button has Marner at #8 in his October rankings and... ISS has him at #8 as well and... Bob Mckenzie has him at #9. He's a small (5'11 , 155lbs.), right-shot C/RW with a very, very high skill level. Bob Mckenzie said in his preliminary rankings that Marner possesses Patrick Kane-esque qualities.
  2. Damien Cox, Glenn Healy, and PJ Stock all work for the same network.

Those are 3 of the least liked hockey analysts in Canada. So nothing.

Agreed 100% All 3 are horrendous.

Can’t stand any of them. Atleast they’re all in one place so I can switch the channel when they come on and not have to see any on the other networks.

  3. Severson something something Mallet something something Gillis something something....

      Herberts Vasiljevs

I've been thinking something something something along the lines of this since day one of the pick

  4. There's a Calgary vs. Kootenay game on the 24th, so it sounds like that may be the day he returns to the Hitmen lineup. At least I hope that's what it is.
  5. Here are game-by-game statistics for Tryamkin. From the official KHL website: http://en.khl.ru/players/17594/games/
  6. So college players can't wear the logo of the team they have been drafted too, but are free to wear ones for other teams? A bit of a weird rule...
  7. I could take one or the other, but now I know I can't win. I think Willie D said something about wanting to get some chemistry between different units/combinations in case of injury problems. On a Horvat-note, I noticed that Max Domi (and the Knights team in general) is struggling quite a bit so far. He's -3 and has no goals through 6 games. The Knights have also lost both their goaltenders from last season (Stolarz + Patterson) so they're much weaker in net. The two goalies playing for them now have a combined OHL record of 19W+34L (one of them is 0W+3L). They're also off to a rough start with 2W-5L, putting them last in their conference. It's early but things aren't going well, and add to that the rumours of trouble in the locker room and I wonder if that's a place that you want Bo to be going back to. Am I reading too much into a 7-game sample size? Probably.
  8. I replied with that specific video because it's probably the "nicest" goal you're going to see the guy score. Nothing more, nothing less. I've not said anywhere that Hansen has/had hands.

  10. The Oilers may be the most consistent team in the NHL. So they have that going for them.

This is what a legit contender looks like against a team like Edmonton. Although, no Eberle tonight.

  12. ... So Bo Horvat was back on the ice skating today. That was nice to hear.
  13. Sabres and Hurricanes 29th and 30th this year.

      Warhippy

Pffft we can do better than that

  14. IIRC, limited asks for about 10 teams he is okay with being traded to, no-trade requires consent (waive) to move at all, and no-move simply means he can't go anywhere. That's what I've always thought... EDIT: Does the no-move also mean the player can't be sent to the minors? I may have read something like that somewhere...
  15. EDM fan on Twitter "Get well soon, Gazdik." Yeah, just go goon it up. That'll do it.

  16. But he picked up an assist. Gotta be leading goaltenders in scoring.
  17. @TysonGiuriato #Canucks prospect Thatcher Demko stops 19-of-23 and picks up one assist as @BCHockeyNews falls 5-2 in their opener tonight. #NCAA
  18. McDavid and Strome tearing up the OHL.

  19. I think he'll get at least a couple of games. If the centres (particularly the bottom-6) continue to do this poorly in faceoffs, I don't think taking a player out to put Bo in (for a trial) is a big deal. It will be very interesting if he performs well in the dot with other centres continuing to struggle. Do you send him down if he is your best option for a skill as important as that? I don't know. Our loaded bottom-6 doesn't bode well for a full year with the Canucks, though. He's done more than just "okay", I'd say. I know a while back the Canucks did a feature on some of the better 9th rounders to play and he is one of them. Brian Elliott was another example, I think.
  20. If he comes back soon and stays healthy, I'm gonna say 45-50G + 25-35A. The Hitmen look like they'll be a stronger team this year too. I don't know if they will play together, but Adam Tambellini will be on the team for a full year (barring trades) which will help the team's overall point output. I also expect Virtanen to play more on the 1st unit PP which should be a big boost. I don't have the stats, and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the vast majority of his goals were scored at even strength.
  21. High expectations for Hitmen fans as well. Who will lead the Hitmen in scoring during the 2014/15 season? Greg Chase 13.98% Adam Tambellini 20.97% Connor Rankin 6.69% Jake Virtanen 43.77% Other 14.59% EDIT: From the Hitmen's Home Page
  22. Raymond's gonna win the Rocket this year.

And an assist. Gee, people here said he couldn't pass...

I thought it was more that he "didn't want to" pass. Then again, you'd be foolish to not pass to Corey Perry.
