ya but not for us lol.
-
His buddy Sonny Milano plays for Plymouth too
-
gosh...the play by play voice is one i listened to for 10 years on afternoon shift but havent heard in years..... SportsTalk with Dan Russel...cue the electric drum roll
-
Think he plays against Rochester on Fri?
-
sure we will. I can see McEneny starting for K-Wings. If Cederholm stays another year in Portland or K-wings....I rather see him tested in Utica Either way...this is a good problem to have. still hope we sign Oksanen
-
so they plan to talk but they havent talked just yet. I wouldnt worry about depth issues. He has size, which is already an asset. He can skate, another asset and if he pops in a few goals, he should get vaulted ahead of the pack

Demko is in a "do or die" game Sun in Quarter Final action against Vermont. That Matt O'Connor kid, on the other hand, just pitched a beauty shutout and was held to just one assist as BU Terriers are off to Semi's. O'Connor is now 20-3-4 with 2.13 and .928 Very impressive numbers

Good solid signing. Another young buck to plant in Utica. Sautner-Subban Cederholm-Pedan Hutton-Biega Curious how that is going to shape up I hope we soon get to read "Matt O'Connor Talk" And "Ahti Oksanen Talk"
-
looks like he practiced his offensive game last night
-
Seriously hoping Gaunce gets the slow injection Bo Horvat treatment next year. Starting off with 7-8 mins a night then slowly ramp up
-
Gaunce with his 6th of the year today in a good dust-up with Binghamton
-
Hutton, McEneny, Etc....all lefties....only Subban and Corrado are right. Thats why im leaning on drafting a rhs dman.....or 2
-
im assuming Corrado is on the Canucks roster next year. With the said logjam, I can see Cedarholm being left in Junior another year, perhaps traded to a better team. I can see Hutton coming in as I thought he was a senior? Hutton-Subban Tryamkin-Pedan McEneny-?? Andersson relatively young defense
-
i hope he plays in Utica too. Hope he isnt a slug and gets burned by the little guys scootin around him. On a side note...gonna be a nasty duo of Pedan-Tryamkin
-
like..... I havent the slightest idea. All we know is that he is like...big and is like...in Russia
-
I remember before the draft....ppl had JV lumped in with the Bacon Brothers simply coz he was from Abbotsford....pure scouting right there for ya folks I think we should just back the frack off and quit over scouting him and fine combing for nit-pick flaws. He will come around.....leave him be

You sir are correct as is Dasein, but think of your own workplace or profession for a minute and remember how YOU got the opportunity and learned on the fly. Those 8-9 minutes are actually more beneficial than you think. He is getting his feet wet, learning the rules (rules are much different from junior to pro) learning the match-ups he is facing off with, learning the WD structured system all while getting the one on one tutelage from the coaches, vet roommates, video breakdowns, etc.... Now thru repetition and further hands on experience...he is finally getting the developement and WILL improve. As Dasein points out, we are here to win and win first. Also a valid point but in Horvats first 4 games, he has won 58/59% of his faceoffs, came within a c-hair of deflecting his first goal, is still an even rating, hasnt taken a dumb penalty and the team only lost once to last year's Cup champs. Not too shabby..sorry he didnt get a hat-trick yet.
-
isnt that the Reio Rutsilainen (sp) rule?
-
I think he would have to pass through entry waivers. Just remain patient and continue his developement
-
Since hearing Benning say that if a youngster such as Horvat comes to camp and win a job that he will move a vet...I have a hunch that Matthias is gone by end of camp to make room for Horvat.
-
well Bo has also played LW and good on the dot...in junior anyway
-
BINGO!! Obviously its Horvat, Vey, Matthias, and Richardson fighting for #3 #4 C. Im seriously hoping Horvat makes it but realistic and not surprised if he gets sent down due to him not having to pass waivers. Vey, imo, isnt a lock but with Bennings hype from the draft, I think its safe to assume he has a bit of a lock. Out of Richardson and Matthias, Richardson is better at faceoffs, has chemistry with Kassian and is cheaper. I wasnt too too impressed with Matthias due to all the hype that surrounded him for years. Well after the feeling of liberation from the 4th line in Fla, he finally got quality time on the 2nd line, then fell back to the 4th by years end. He couldnt seem to buy a win in the face-offs. Again, last year was last year and hopefully we see what WD can do for this bunch. We are basically in "wait n see" mode until camp arrives and the pre-season helps to thin the herd and WD csn get a better assessment of what we got. If Horvat can come in and achieve 10-10-20 and win faceoffs....the year is a success.
-
I see what you're sayin and know what you mean but Horvat HAS to start with us. Atleast the 9 games. His development will improve once he faces the stiffer competition. He can either thrive, play at par, or get completely humbled. In any case, he will see where he is at and coaches will evaluate. Going to junior is a complete waste of his time.
-
well I remember a time when Kesler was plunked on 3rd line forever and learned the defensive side before being able to play offensive side. Bo has scored enough goals in CHL to prove that he already knows that side. He needs better competition at this stage in his life. Just because he starts on 4th line...doesnt mean he lives there. Injuries will open opportunities for Bo
-
Back to Horvat...I say he HAS to atleast get 9 games before the decision to send him back to junior. He was sent back last year solely to thrive in potential winning environments such as winning WJC gold and Memorial Cup. THAT has passed and now he should be cemented on the 4th to develop. Let him make his mistakes, develop and earn his spots, etc... If Matthias and Richardson are NOT in the future plans...dump em for picks/prospects or package sweetners. Hansen/Matthias is start of a great bottom 6 depth package on any team. Bo must make this team tho
