  1. C his answer at the presser spoke volumes...in my eyes he is already gone I AM sad tho coz he definately was one of my faves for years since he punched out Iginla. Get the draft picks, if Pouliot comes then we have a great young pmd to grow with our young prospects
  2. BINGO!!! Add Edler to that list as well They are ALL a part of an aging nucleus whos best before dates are coming up if not already up. Of the 4, I would only rethink Bieksa but Im sure we could package him to a few places out east and get decent return. Burrows can go to Rangers as Im sure AV would welcome him with open arms. He too could get something fair in return. Also $4.5mil can be spent elsewhere. Back to Kesler.... Im certain he is saying all of the right things. Once a player demands a trade, I find their value plummets coz rival GMs know they already want out and what it means to a team when they have a player that doesnt want to be there
  3. Going to be equally great to draft a great player at #36. Im convinced there are some great finds at that point.
  4. Your English is fine Brother You must be loving the playoff Hockey over there. How is the league taking to Marc Crawford? How is our boy Ronalds Kenins doing over there?
  5. ya...we have Hunter, we have Dane Fox, the college kids we just got from Notre Dame. Now Zalewski, Ronalds Kenins. Guys like Gaunce, Horvat, Cassels are ALL left handers. Heaven forbid we get a guy with size, who can score and is a right hander.. Listen....I dont want to see yyoucheering when we select Virtanen ok "Woohooo...so excited to get this guy..." "This is a great day..." "Cant miss pick..." Guys like Ehlers and Kapanen will be selected in the East and flourish there. In this division they get crushed
  6. I see what you mean and I drool on their talents as well but Im just concerned about durability whenever Ehlers comes across the blue line or goes into the corners and never makes it out alive after NHL size dmen ram the snot out of him. Especially the ones in our division that we have to meet many many many times
  7. he would probably say..."Phewww, the last guy wanted Etem..we were going to trade Vatanen anyway"
  8. Eric Corniel? Lemieux I doubt makes it past Colorado
  9. good points but now we have different management and soon a different coach. I just dont see Dal Colle being available at #6 And again...we have so many prospects jammed at LW. We need to add a few RW that are actually right handers. Virtanen fits that bill. Utilizing a player based on his skill set on what he can and cant do....perhaps you pair him with linemates who DO do those things he lacks. Hence chemistry
  10. I hope to one day splice quotes together like you do lol At #6, Im still taking Virtanen. At 17, im sure Canucks developement dudes can point him in the right directions still. Kid loves to score goals and we have so much talent jammed on LW already. Lets get some bslsnce and size on the RW. If he is gone then Im taking Ritchie. We need the skilled mooks to compete with our division
  11. you would think that over time and time in a more professional environment with pro skating coaches, systems gurus etc....that stuff can be taught. Also the school of hard knocks is a great learning tool. He seems like a bright kid and has qualities that are also already praised upon. First and foremost he loves to score and drive to the net and can shoot the puck and carry it thru people. With us at #6/7....Virtanen is at the top of my list of who I want us to pick. Im also cringing at the fact that I onow that Burke will pick him just to pi$$ us off Speakin of Burke....since Trev took over and Quinn coming back....I get the sense that Burke would live to be back in the band as well
  12. At the same time...nobody is blowing smoke up Fleury's arse for also being just 17. Only a month older than Virtanen Dal Colle and Perlini are also quite young.....
  13. do you also see how he steamrolls dmen as he carries the puck? This is my choice if he is still there
  14. Jake is almost a year younger than Leon Another RH gun is what this team also needs Hansen and Kassian are the only decent ones....if Kesler gets dealt that is
  15. the more highlights I watch and such...the more im hoping that this is the guy we draft. He is the youngest of the pwf's and hopefully he still grows an inch or 2
  16. hey....Daignault wasnt a bad pick....was a servicable pick for years and even won a cup the rest you named....ya....tear jerkers for sure.
  17. ya but Burke didn't draft Schenn. Was a great trade getting JVR tho.
  18. Trying to predict what Burke/Flames do at the draft Knowing how his ego love to snag the spotlight, if he doesnt bully his way to picking Reinhart, I can also see Burke picking Fluery if he is available. History has shown that one of the first things he does for his new team is drag a defenseman in. Pronger in Hartford Jovo to us Neidermayer/Pronger in Anaheim Phanuef in Toronto Drafted Bryan Allen for us Drafted Reilly for Toronto
  19. Picking 6/7, Im confident that we get a good player. I think there will be a few surprise picks, one being Fluery picked by Coilers if Ekblad is gone. Also Ehlers could go to Buffalo with their NYI pick. My money is actually on Fla oicking Ehlers. They have enough young horses in the middle. Snagging Ehlers on the wing is right up their alley If we do end up trading Kesler, and it looks as if we will, and get Otts 1st from Ana...we could use that to send to Winnipeg in a package for Kane If we keep that pick, I would be happy walkin away with Ritchie and Virtanen. Im confident anyone in the top 10 is a safe pick
  20. in the interest of fairness being a wack job year for everyone...im willing to give Garrison another year before I scream buyout. Provided we dont already buyout Booth.
  21. when Garrison posts 40+ assists in a year....then start the comparison.
