  1. They may not snub a team/city, but they would probably be more weary of signing at a discount, if the NMC isn't worth the paper its written on.
  2. Absolutely, and agree 100%... Asking players to waive their NTC or NMC's are like asking them expecting them to take a reduction in salary... They players often already signed reduced salary contracts for them knowledge they knew were they were going to spend the next x amount of years... The important part being, next time a GM tries to use the lure of NMC to get a player at reduced rate, they will say no... the agent will advise them accordingly.. PS. Its fair of management to let the players know if there is a change in their plans, or interest from other teams, but these things should be kept in private....
  3. Not to argue with you @lmm, butl I like to think, that have a young core compared to ageing one makes an enormous difference... Not sure about the bad contract issues neither... Maybe I'm wrong, but as per cap friendly only 5 players have NMC/NTC (modified in their contracts). The remaining players are on good contracts and definitely movable contracts. Person modified NMC next season and gone OEL NMC for another 5 years Myers Modified NTC another 2 years Hamonic Modified NTC another 2 years Ferland (irrelevant) There is a huge difference between this and what Benning took over. Had Sedins not decided to fall over the same cliff as LE then maybe, But the contracts Luongo, Sedins, Kesler etc was on were worse. But most importantly comparing the rosters from 13-14 and the roster now, I'd like to think our roster now is both better and much more movable should JR decide to go down that route, than it was when Benning took over.
  4. Until the 4th line slows down, don't think Add Sutter to that forward line up, and that gives a lot of juicy combinations... Expect Sutter to C 3rd line and Dickinson to the wing... Alternative Sutter to RW 4th line, but until 4th line slows down, wouldn't really want to tinker with it.
  5. Funny you said that Was going to make a picture with y crossed out and ed instead ... But I'm a dinosaur so gave up...
  6. Report fishing.... hoping somebody gets thrown under the bus... Player just snapped. Wonder if there is some past exchange, poor reporting that the player still remembers?
  7. Anyone else been pleasantly surprised by the teams sudden found toughness and willingness to stand up for one another... Think they have dropped the mitts more times now, then at anytime since Dorsett left the building. Burroughs, Myers, Pearson, Horvat, Miller and Schenn.... even OEL... They may not be legit fighters, but they sure as hell don't back down... Garlands fearless play may have something to do with this, and it great for morale.... This team is bonding...
  8. If money needs to be found somewhere, the improved play of Lammikko may put Dickinson more in play than before.. But for now, getting him back on the wing again, would be playing to his strength...
  9. .... salty.. Tbh it must be so annoying to ask these questions, when its all going to crap......................................again
  10. Yes, don't know what Bruce puts into their drinks, but they definitely have turned up lately... Really super play by that line...
  11. We are going streaking..... Fabulous performance.... No Bo - No problem No Garland - No problem No home cooking like forever - no problem Petey is back, they follow him.... Honorary mention to 4th line, Burroughs and Schenn....
  12. Fabulous.... They don't score enough"? Defo took that remark to heart...
