  1. Am I the only one, who want to wait until the bubble bursts (if it bursts), to trade and see what is needed? Atm I would like a 4th liner, who can drop them, and I'd like a bottom rd stay at home D-man, with some snarl as well... Team just play 9 games with only 1 OT defeat... That is good in any language, especially without Brock and EP only at 50%... Why not let the team run with it and see where it leads? Maybe I'm selfish and just enjoy seeing the team win, without too much concern for the future, but I guess that's what happens, when a team loses too much... I for one would be massively disappointed, if JR dismantles a winning team going into the play offs, in the hope of building a team with a higher chance of being a winner later. There is no guarantees that a new team build will be better, just hope and opportunity... Regardless wish there was the option of more truculence.... If the 4th line can't score, at least they can hurt them...
  2. Think it will flatten out later on, but yes we may need more points. But I'd be happy to get through January at 6-6ish at worst... A lot of tough teams coming up away from home... Big month.
  3. Thank its wishful thinking, but yes if they go 8-4 or even 9-3, they'll be in the mix for certain... Long way to go, many games to be played...
  4. Or maybe FA did say no, and have now learnt from his mistake? Or JR told him, if he took the job, he wanted to decide on personal and how many? Point being we just don't know....
  5. I'd go a little further an say it is down to experience on Bruce part. Petey will be far from the first star Bruce have seen have problems at certain stages during their career... Also, none of us knows, if there is more going on behind the scenes, than meet the eyes... It's maybe the first time, it doesn't come easy to Petey. Secondly, he could be nursing an injury or god knows what... Regardless, the last thing we need to do, is to start hounding our best player at the first opportunity... He may never recover, but if he does (when he does), he'll be a better player for it, and this fan base is going to look so stupid, if that happens to be for another team. We all know, how good Petey can be... He is not on a retirement contract, so the $ he earns just now, are totally irrelevant to that....
  6. If Bruce want him to kill penalties, he has to learn, how to kill penalties.... so basically you should complain about Bruce instead.
  7. Cheers amigo... it was too good to miss out on Get what you're saying, and yes we have been better, and while it was hardly the Stanley Cup we just won, you can only beat what is in front of you... Enjoy the wins while it last... nobody knows, what awaits around the corner. Happy New Year
  8. Tbh i get where @Boudriascomes from... but yes, seeing Myers getting pen after pen for being bigger than the rest... one rule for some, another for others... consistency...
  9. unless Bruce spent his off time with JV, there's very little anyone could do to help him... Think the reason he was sent to Siberia, was off ice issues... if it was only his on ice issues, he would probably still be a Canuck....
  10. Yep noticed that too... Wonder if he is too focussed on the other aspects of the game, or if its something deeper... He is a young man, and who knows, if all is right back in Sweden or elsewhere in his life... Definitely something has changed, as he doesn't act on instinct like he did, when he was on fire.... Maybe he needs to go back to being a winger instead...
  11. Yes it sure will... tougher opponents will be met, but they have definitely raised the bar... And yes can't understand how they suddenly becomes this winning machine.... there is often a reaction for just getting new management team in, but this is unreal. No doubt BB's idea of playing on the front foot during PK, and pressurising the puck carrier has done wonders... just like shoot the puck has... I think the most important part from BB, was not talking about playoffs and getting there or giving up on it, but in stead use 'WIN THE WEEK' phrase... Its almost as if everyone started with a clean slate, and not having to look at percentages or points etc. have given the freedom to express them selves... Whatever it is, its working... and massive kudos to both players and coaching staff to turn it around... Cinderella story in the making
  12. Cheers true... but it kind emphasises that unless the players with NMC/NTC clauses agrees to be moved, very little GM's can do... But yes you are right.
  13. Incredible run really... and this without our top player playing up to his usual self...
  14. I know, and nobody knows, what lays around the corner. However.... the shear excitement of winning is fabulous.... I love this chapter of the Canucks history... Long may it last
  15. Wow.... this is incredible... Think there were a few posters giving lectures about the team having no chance of play offs, and that the team would have to play a certain % to even achieve this.... The silence is deafning....
  16. Yep... and keep the mindset like that... Still a bit of catching up to do, but instead of looking at points to catch up, just keep winning the week and the rest will take care of itself...
  17. 8-0-1.... Dreamland start to BB tenure... Boys plays with so much confidence.... Did Pearson have an assist for a G. Howe hat trick? Oh yes he did.....
