  1. Ottawa has done a better job than expected. Rags got lucky in the draft... wouldn’t mind trying to win a draft or draft top 2.
  2. I think he wants to be in change of the scouting/drafting... its probably what he loves the most...
  3. Meaningless games or not... Love watching nucks games, and if we get to see more prospects, it'll be the icing on the cake... This has been a crap year, but watching hockey has helped me through all the garbage, even though it didn't go as well as hoped for.... Next year we could see a team with up to 60% of home drafted players on it... Good times...
  4. Any idea about Logan Mailloux 6'3 214 lbs, Roman Schmidt 6'5 209 lbs, Vincent Iorio 6'3 194lbs or Bryce Montgomery 6'5 220 lbs... If we don't get Clarke our second or third may be used to draft RHD? Size would be nice...
  5. Wonder if we have anyone around, that can piss Gadjovic or Woo off, so we get to see them quicker...
  6. Wouldn’t it just be typical Canucks luck to get 1 OA the year, nobody knows for sure who really is the best player available. Nevertheless lets hope it happens, as we are in need of more talent coming through...
  7. This.... amazingly some folks don't quite understand that...
  8. Not sure you're right about Hoglander... The boy is short but built like a tank. Did you see the hit he absorbed against Jets last night... Nothing wrong with the physicality of Hogs In saying that, I'd also like to see more physical players with size, but maybe Benning doesn't want to risk drafting another Virtanen... ?
  9. Brock, Hughes, Podz (I'm sure), McCann....
  10. It was more like the way statistics can be use to favour any argument, I reacted to... Jake and Ollie haven't lived up to their draft position (although in Ollies case I'll give Benning some leeway as nobody could have predicted the Injuries, the boy has had to overcome. Ok this can relate to... Regarding shortcomings, it all depends on the eyes that sees and how folks wants the rebuild to be carried out. A lot of debates about this else where, has he really been rebuilding for 7 years, or were his hands slightly tied in the beginning with the Sedins. One thing falls back to Benning though is his original statement that is could be a quick retool... Don't think that was ever going to be possible, and just to keep fans invested in the team... who knows.
  11. Demko, Perhaps Lind and Gadjovic... Gaudette and Tryamkin... all good picks
  12. That’s quite a negative take on the drafting... JB has never had the luxury of drafting in top 4, and only once in top 5... How about this for a stat, so far all our 1st round picks outside top 6 has been hits? So maybe a few wins now will result in another home run...
  13. Interesting way of thinking Jan. I think, we are at a cross road. Either Benning believes, he now has the horses, and we will start to see some result over the next two years. Or we accept more/better is needed, and we start to trade players for maximum return. Both Bo and Miller will be looking at good increases, so the team may struggle to find the funds to make it stronger, unless they draft a few more studs, that can enter on ELC's. There are some real gems coming in the next two drafts after this one. Question though will also be, would Aqualini be interested in a continued rebuild of the team? If Benning says to FA, they need to sell off a star to get more picks, thus prolonging the rebuild, he could be history...
  14. Could see how the rest of the panel were enjoying Bieksa having to pump McD tyres... Don’t think he enjoyed it too much, but you gotta take the bad with the good. I’m sure there will be a payback time....
  15. Well not a win, but still a ‘win’... Graovac, Hoglander and Rathbone best Canucks on the night... Good to see the young players doing it... Keep this losing streak going and Benning will be picking in the gravy end of the draft.
