It's not as if they are playing a bunch of nobodies, is it? PP - awful is it really? Canucks PP Game 1- 3 for 6, Game 2- 2 for 3, Game 3 1 for 2, and game 4 0 for 7 = 6 for18 = 33% PK - awful is it really? Blues PP Game 1-1 for 3, Game 2 1 for 6, Game 3 0 for 2, and game 4 2 for 5 (1 being a 5 on 3) = 4 for16 = 25% So reality is Canucks PP has been better than theirs despite drawing a blank in the last game.... don't let reality get in the way of a good story. D zone a fire drill... our only big proper battle hardened d is out injured. The d core is hardly coach Greene fault... This was one of the reasons it was important to get in to the play offs. To evaluate the team in proper pressure of play off games... team and coach alike. I don't know what Benning thinks, and he may decide Greene is gone after these playoffs, although I doubt it. We tried a SC winning coach if you remember... didn't go too well did it?

Agree 100% Blaze. I do expect the team to raise their game after Game 4. Thought a few of Blues goals were very preventable and down to poor communication or tiredness.... It may happen again, but I don’t think it will. And a few of the forwards will come out fighting with something to prove. Regardless, this is a totally new ball game for the boys, and a few of them will be hurting big time and the zip will have gone out of their bodies after the pounding they’ve been taking. Again its all part of the process and a valuable lesson learned. There’s nothing that can fully prepare the team for playoff hockey except trying it. if it was so easy to just go out and score some goals a team like Tampa would have won a cup in the last few years. Lets see what tonight brings... maybe Santa will be good to us

Nah... Think what causes this situation, is we have a young team, where most of the players are trying the hard grind of play off hockey for the first time. Learning a lot about themselves and each other players and coach alike. They are playing the, until defeated, best play off team in the NHL, without one of their best/strongest d-men.

Or maybe despite the team getting a collective black eye, he is enjoying watching EP and Hughes being able to cooe with the Blues. This was the first game, the team got taken apart. It happens... will be interesting to see if they can bouce back. I think they can. But unless they can stop ROR and that line it will be hard. There is no doubt that the hitting from Blues in the first couple of games has taken its toll... He is probably looking forward To Podz coming over and Lind in a year or two. But it is obvious that we need a few stronger and heavier players inserted in the line up. The pounding has taken its toll... Also, the need of veteran leadership has been evident throughout this series and the previous one. Hoping that Woo can evolve enough to go in back end. Thinking about the depth on the D. Myers is a huge loss... far greater than first anticipated. Think he will be looking at how he can make us stronger on the back end.

Canucks got bullied.... Myers is needed badly. ROR line really good and the D-core struggled mightily against it... Looks like all the hitting has taken its toll... Need to put more pucks on the net... didn't do enough of that.... Petey is up for fight, which bodes well for the future of this team... Rest up and come out fighting. See you Wednesday
