  1. Just like Green did with QH last game in the 3rd period. No need to let him get destroyed by the Blues forwards..
  2. So sorry to hear about your loss Hairy. Our heartfelt condolences to you and your family. RIP
  3. Absolutely.... Think OJ will come good, but tonight is going to be a war... Benn’s strength is going to be needed if Myers is out.
  4. Horvat making sure to remind them he’s the boss... he’s in their head too now.
  5. Thanks exactly my point. Go with the hot hand. If it doesn’t work, change.... this is not a time to get clever.
  6. If and if... Go with the hot hand. Don’t let Blues in if can be avoided.... Blues are looking to do more damage, but also know they need to win this game. If we go up 3-0 their will, will be broken... massive game coning up. Play Demko in game 4... Have a good feeling about this one... bring it on
  7. I agree that hockey with its intensity and physicality is one of, if not the, hardest sports to officiate... As I said earlier, I have no beef with more being let go in during the games, but the Sutter call you mentioned, was odd at best... How Canucks ended up short handed in that situation was strange. The puck was there so the officials would have seen everything.... There are lots of slashes, high sticks etc that isn't called, maybe because they are not seen, but in the beginning they almost called it almost like regular season game, and suddenly most of the infringements weren't called at all... Regardless Stawns, the most important thing was the boys adapted and overcame... It hurts... but a tad less, when you've won... Boys done good.
  8. True I know... It was just that we all almost expected Canucks to lift the cup w Bruins... and then some shocking calls as well as behind the scenes decisions by NHL made it almost stomach turning... We mostly felt hard done to, and rightfully so, but if they let that be the theme, they may take the eye off the ball. And yes great comparison... Regarding the inconsistency you are spot on... only sport I can think of, would be boxing, and even that isn't as bad, as it used to be.... But the main thing is they never seemed to let it get to them.... I haven't seen any after interviews yet, so don't know if anyone mentions it yet, but they did not let that hinder them on the ice... Take it on the chin and move on. They won the game... No guts no glory.... GCG
  9. I think the majority of fans found the change during the game of, what was percived a penalty, and when it was, utter frustrating. Don’t mind the whistles are put away, but at least call it evenly, and don’t change it during the game. It started to remind me of the SC in 2011 against Bruins... we got battered and officiating was biased beyond belief, and I think it went to the head as well as body of the boys. Don’t want this to happen this year. Regardless the boys adapted and overcame, and must feel like a million dollars today despite being black and blue. They learned a lot about themselves and how good they really are. Even more importantly they never once started whining about the obviously glaring missed calls. So damn proud of the team this morning.
  10. As annoyed as I was with the call made or not I do agree, it is, what it is. Being unhappy won’t help. Roll on this team and keep fighting back. Only question is if they can survive the abuse. Its all a learning experience and will stand the team in good stead for the future... So far they are getting the experience Benning was craving. And passing in flying colours. Loving the hockey we see... its been a long time in coming... Keep it up.
  11. Well if they put OJ in, we’ll know for sure if the boy can last physically in the NHL... think we’ll struggle to find a team that hits as much and hard as Blues....
  12. I actually think that having Eriksson and Pearson on his wings, lets Horvat explorer his offensive powers even more than normal. But man do I feel for Eriksson... It wasn’t his best game of the play offs, but as part of the pk that just went 1/6 I think he deserves another go. . Could he just put one of his chances on front of goal, it would get the monkey of his back.... have a feeling Toffoli would have burried at least one of them... Toffoli may enter on Bos wing.... maybe... wasn’t too impressed with Toff i game 1 v Wild.... but that may have been due to injury.
  13. Good call....@roberts is quickly becoming CDC's lucky charm....long may it last
