  1. Think we need all... speed is king... until they get murdered. Elias is 6’2 and the Florida plug Matheson lifted him up gave him a concussion. My worry is, If he can do that with ease, what can a 240 d man do to a 5’7 player... (if he can catch him yes, but at some stage they will...) But more importantly I fear our Dmen will be crushed unless we start getting dmen with size. Not just tall but wide as well. I’m not advocating taking 6’7 250+lbs who can’t move, but there are D men capable of skating. Players like Trym is a massive miss in our d-core. PS. Actually agree, with the bolded part. Game altering skills.... where would Blackhawks be without Kane. (And a good attempt to spell the wee mans name )
  2. True, but Chara is still a big minute logger and Carlo also get towards 20min a game... But yes Krug does have a lot of ice time.
  3. Can you imagine how good he'd be had he been even bigger... While heights isn't everything, I'd prefer a d-man at 6'4 240lbs to 5'10 185lbs... provided they have same capabilities... There is room for players like Stecher, Hughes etc. but don't think a team with that size of players only will fare well i the playoffs...
  4. +1... But except Edler at 6'3 and Leivo at 6'2 The rest are between 5'11 and 6'1... But yes they are well build, sturdy players... Hope we keep the trend of players with size...both height and width...
  5. 5'7".... if we add that pick to Caufield and then we can change the name to Vancouver PeeWee's... Joking aside, we need size...size...size... If not D-men, please use our lower picks on players with size...
  6. Please don't let the rodent get another ring.... The sheer thought of seeing that ring kissing puke skate around Rogers kissing his ring finger again makes me wanna puke... At least the diving Sharks didn't go to the finals....
  7. Have zero doubt that if Sharks get past Blues, Bruins win the cup. Blues play the same kind of grinding hockey as Bruins, and can surely go toe to toe with them Physically... by god I hope they nail Marchand...
  8. Physical maturity has a massive impact.. Also believe that hockey 'smarts' improves with age... Especially the ability to stay level headed. My point was aimed more at the discussions about some wanting to get rid of all the vets... I believe JB is doing it the right way. You need a mix.
  9. Bruins roster going to the finals... for players, who has played more than 20 NHL games during their entire career, average age is 28.7 years This includes a 42 year old Chara Blues roster (if they are going to the finals)... for players, who have played more than 20 NHL games during their entire career, average age is 27.4 year Sharks roster (if they are going to the finals)... for players, who have played more then 20 NHL games during their entire career, average age is 28.6 years Bruins under 26 (with more than 20NHL games) F's 4 players D's 2 player Blues under 26 (with more than 20 NHL games) F's 7 players D's 2 player GK 1 Sharks under 26 (with more then 20 NHL games) F's 4 players D's 1 player (7 of those players are 25) It looks like Benning has a point, although maybe 25-35 would be the range... and as such a few years before we will be contending.
  10. A quiet SAP Centre...priceless For everything else there's Master card... What immense joy it is to see those uneducated fans suffer not getting all their usual fantasy and diving calls... Boy am I enjoying this... Now go on Blues and finish em off... And then Kill the Bruins... Would be like Christmas come early...
  11. Cheers Lumme. He’s trolling...
  12. 3 isn’t far from 4... I guess its as far as 2.... If you wanna hate on JB at least use the right numbers. Your trolling is weak Ketchup. Have a nice day.
  13. Absolutely Jan. Lets see how it unfolds, but he is definitely in a far better position than he was a few years back. He may still wait til next year, when Eriksson should be easier to move. Agree It’ll be very interesting to follow, how it unfolds
  14. Since when? Its 3 million for Beagle for 3 year contract. Schaller 1.9 for 2 years.... Where do you get the figures you sling around, or do you just make it up as you go along?
  15. Nice one... Good post Jan. Wouldn't it be nice to see Benning actually taking advantage of the cap space he has available... As has been discussed/suggested lots of times on these boards, get some picks/players off the teams in cap hell, either through swap with retention of salary or simply just pick them... Surely there must be a way to strengthen the team.
  16. Agree amigo... back to withdrawal symptoms... But at least there's always beers...
  17. Who knows....? And that's the beuti of it. Since nobody knows for sure, other GM's might wanna pay, to ensure they get, what they want. But yeah probably...
  18. Also if there are 3 players available 10 that he puts evenly, why not get an extra 4th or 5th from Philly or Minny if they are after a special player at 10...
  19. Byram... or could be Broberg....or could be Seider... or could be... If JB at this stage told everyone who he will be targeting, just to appease the fan base, he should be fired instantly. Evaluation of talent is supposed to be his forte... Why would he give opposition a free ride. And not knowing JB thoughts, may help him in making trades up or down on draft day.... Its clear as mud...and so it should be...
  20. Don't think we should put too much emphasis on what JB tells the press at this stage... Not even sure they know for sure yet themselves... But one thing is certain. He will make a top 10 list of players, and come draft day he will chose whoever the lowest left on the list is.... Unless he choses for need... clear as mud.
