+1... Don't see anyone actually knowing for sure, who will be the better prospect between 5 and 12+...

Good call Zepp... probably not. The transformation in Markstrom has been nothing short of incredible this season. Last season he was CDC's whipping boy and could be had for a bag of pucks. Although honorary mention to Miller and Vanek is in place, but Clarks transformation of Markstrom has been fantastic. -
Talk about reopening old wounds... Damn it still hurts... Not so much not winning, but being fracked over so badly... I think, what hurts the most was/is actually Ratboy, Boychuck etc... never ever paid the price afterwards.... Not in the series, not the year after, not like ever.... Forgive and forget... my arse.... And every time I see the fat lying POS Julien, I can stop thinkjing of the worst whining I've ever heard from anyone in sport... And the fact the press just ran with it, instead of focusing on what was actually true, and what was blatant cheating and lying... Aaarghhh... back to the psychiatrist couch again....

Think Seider will go in top 20 if not top 15... Selling himself very well at the worlds... To be honest if we had 8 and 10, i think we should use one on F and one on D... And Seider would definitely be in contention with Harley, Heinola and Soderstrom... Size being the draw for me.... (not sold on Broberg)...
-
That looks ok to me.... We need SIZE and if he is aggressive as well + can skate he ticks a lot of the needs boxes. IQ 8... suggests is should be possible to form him into a better defender. I like what I'm hearing.... and yes we do need size...

Tasty...without a doubt... Still have to upgrade our D-core though... Will find it hard to leave one of the D's if we have those two picks. However all depends if Benning has an ace up his sleeve, for how to improve our D core.

If so its a hard no....

If they manage to pry the 8OA to go with 10 OA while only left with Lucic... JB would be hailed a hero.

Is it really worth taking a year extra of a sinking contract to move up 2 spots? Before the season ended there were talk of a top 3-4 and then an average to good bunch down to 12-15... I wonder if we are getting in to Territory where posters are prepared to do silly things just for the sake of it. Eriksson has 3 more years. Maybe just maybe he can be moved next year, and we don’t really need to be hampered by these anchors for longer than necessary. If we really are prepared to take an anchor contract, next year would be better, when Eriksson and his modified contract could make him easier to move i a deal for a good pick together with an anchor contract. I just don’t see value in trading for Lucic just to move up too spots... as there most likely will be as good a pick at 10 as 8.... if we could add a pick in the top two rounds instead, as part of a deal, while we keep the 10OA I’d listen.

If Buffalo is a mess, why don't they just keep their 5th and draft Byram? Think we'll struggle without Markstrom... But do like the idea of getting the 5th OA.

Enjoy...

Yes someone is always injured... Must have been asleep, as I never heard Roussel would be out to Christmas... Thats another problem, cause who'll do the standing up to anyone? Expect Benning to try and make a move on RW... There will be a log jam there over the coming years. With Lind and Jasek hopefully taking steps forward and even Madden playing RW as well as C? Could possibly be Jake or Ericsson in play for various reasons. Don't see Motte giving enough back, so hold on to him... young, tenacious and cheap. Granny could be a filler in a trade. Don't expect to see more of Goldy if they can flip him for anything, Sutter won't bring back enough so see him staying (maybe part of a package) and Schaller is deadwood... Lockwood would have been nice... freshen things up.

Cheers. I did notice that. He was probably the one player that surprised the most with his drive and tenacity...The fact he could find the twine, definitely help his cause as well. Assuming we don’t sign any, our 4 LW would be Baertschi, Pearson, Leivo and Roussel, with Leivo the odd man out should we sign a topline LW ( although Odd man sounds wrong with all the injuries normally sustained).
-
Good post. Would find room for Pearson in the team though. Did Well with Bo and would be a huge upgrade on 3rd line. He was a gem after he was acquired. Would have him in ahead of Leivo any day.

Feel the same way. Maybe in two years time we could afford the big gamble, but also feel atm taking Caufield could be too big a gamble.... we simply need our 1st rounders to become impact players.... even if it means not taling the ones with the highest ceilings.... Don’t want to waste extra years of EP’s and Bo careers waiting for proper wingers for them. However Benning went after EP so I trust him to do the right thing.

Agree 100%... We need quality over quantity... end off... Unless JB has seen a few gem nobody else knows about, we stay at 10 at worst...

You're wasting you time bud... There is no salvation for this one...

Cheers Alf. In this draft a Shinkaruk would be a massive disappointment. Time will tell... some many interesting prospects. Who will deliver....

I haven’t seen Zagres play, only read the reports/scouting reports. Im surprised you don’t like him Alf.... is he nowhere close to what the reports are suggesting? Ive seen him compared to Marchand and flickyoutsedin just compared him to Giroux.... Im very interested in Boldy, but think a player like Marchand is exactly what we need in our top Six. I want us to be hard to play against and wants a few players, who are tenacious, fighsty and has soft hands. Who wouldn’t want that?

Bingo... He's done well on Horvats wing, and would be perfect either there or on the 3rd line... An absolute gem of a pick up.
