Hahaha I'd even settle for a little less, but any of the above tick the right boxes +1. For now chuffed to bits at what we are seeing on the ice, and that's without planning a parade ;)

  3. New look Utd looking really good today. De Maria giving a star performance. Excellent
  4. Deserved better... Didn't have the balls to send off the German C/B. Quite clearly bottled it...
  5. Yes and No... He left on a free transfer, but utd got an £800.000 compensation fee for Pogba, because of his age. Pogba plays a position in which we are in dire need. But doubt the club would sanction a 60 million bid for a player that gave them two fingers and left for free to Juventus... and since has repeatedly criticised the club. Actually says a lot for his dedication...First he left Utd, now within two seasons he may leave juve. Other players to compare would be Barlotelli or Le Sulk 'Niclas Anelka' and I can't say I would like that at utd...
  6. Think the Pogba - Utd train have long gone... Great player, but don't see them spending 60 mill for a player that left almost for free a year ago..
  7. Falcao 1 year loan with option to buy, acc to press... Looking strong up front now... Thrilled ...C'mon utd.
  8. Yes the clear out has started. Hopefully they can find takers for Anderson as well... LVG also hinting at more arrivals before deadline.

  10. Agree, and will not be surprised to see Mata as the odd man out. Gary Neville was asked the same question and he was convinced utd would play 3 up top ie 3-4-3 or 4-3-3. If they wants proper wingers and rooney to play Mata will be the odd man out. They could also play 4-4-2 and again its hard to see where Mata fits in. Although being a good player, never understood why Moyes bought him, as he didn't fit into the system (unless Rooney is the odd man out, but doubt that). De maria on one side and Januzaj or Valencia on the other with RVP on top, Rooney as no 10 and two midfielders to protect him and a proper back 4 is what it looks like.
  11. In amongst all the depression...Sources have confirmed Utd signing of De Maria (pending medical) for £63,9mill = €80mill....Wauh..A lot of money...
  12. Balotelli I a nutter (surprise surprise), but I'll admit he did pull a good one, when he scored against utd and showed the famous 'why always me' t-shirts... Took me a few weeks (if not months) to see the funny side of it though
  13. He is coming to Manchester for talks next week. It has been confirmed from Madrid even though Utd refuse to comment... Guess they burnt their fingers a few times last season, when they spoke too soon. But yes a massive signing for utd. Still believe we need a box to box midfielder and a centre back more, but there might just be some light in the horizon after all
  14. Finally.... Still really need a star midfielder and a centre back at Utd. But De Maria is a massive signing and going to wear the famous no. 7 shirt.
  15. Its not about blaming Moyes, but the fact he never had a plan B or C... Yesterday during his first match in charge LVG made more tactical changes that Moyes did in 12 months.... But its more the fact that Moyes behaved like a kid in a sweetie shop. When he couldn't get the player he was pointing at, he wanted anybody. Its absolutely correct that when the team needed to be strengthened nothing happened. In defence he started by letting Vidic know he was no longer wanted and the same with Evra... How amateurish to do so before you have ready made replacement. Totally agree Fergie should have dealt with utd's midfield 3 years ago, as it has been blatantly obvious that utd wasn't good enough there since Scholes first retirement, but I think they had earmarked Pogba for being that player, however Fergies stubbornness or arrogance made Pogba leave on a free transfer... The signing of Fellaini was a crowd pleaser, and has been a bad signing. His force is not playing in the middle of the park as one of two central midfielder, but more like a number 10 or in a three man midfield, where he can support the striker...That Moyes did not understand that after having him at Everton for 2 years, was probably the main reason the fans were on his back... There is a lot of driftwood at Utd, and I think pending on who comes in up to 12 players are on the chopping board... (any takers?)
  16. Moyes screwed up so badly in the transfer marked... Fellaini has been garbage and there was no need for Mata. Utd still need at least 1 quality midfielder and one or two centre backs. A winger would be nice two, but the type of winger would depend on whether LVG continues with 3 or 4 at the back... If Glaziers don't dig deep, I fear it'll be another season of misery at old Trafford...
  17. Good to see utd bounce back from going down 1-0. Would never have happened under Moyes...
  18. Cheers. Couldn't agree more. Fletcher has had a good pre season, and even though I expect more arrivals, Utd could easily start the season with this team. Don't expect them to win the league, but they're definitely moving in the right direction under Van Gall. Moyes was lost at the theatre of dreams...
  19. 109K watching a pre season match...Wov. Good game. Utd look better under LVG.
  20. Cheers. Agree trophies tells the stories... And yes City's owners have actually been very good for the community around the City, (and so they should playing at the council house just kidding...). No I hope UTD will be back challenging again this season, but think it will be hard. For now City is setting the benchmark, but getting rid of the tool Moyes hopefully brings UTD back where they belong. Anywhere in the top 4 will be a good beginning while rebuilding, and that Adidas deal will surely help towards that huge rebuilding job LVG has on his hands. Good luck next season (and yes you actually have a great chance of doing well in C/L, but don't tell anyone I said so)
  21. Oh I recognize last season's result , (City was the best team in the EPL last season, closely followed by Liverpool, and congrats to them). But my reaction was to your initial mail comparing trophies, because Utd for the first time in donkeys years isn't playing C/L... UTD: 20 league titles, 3 C/L titles, 1 UEFA cup, 11 FA cups and league cups CITY: 4 league titles, 1 UEFA cup, 5 FA cups and 3 league cups Now let that sink in... What got city there was an Arab sugar daddy, who had a new toy, and spent far more than was allowed IE cheated. Utd would have no problem what so ever clearing FFP if they re-enter CL next season even without that obscene amount adidas decided to pay them. Come to think of it, didn't city try to do the same by signing a huge sponsership with Etihad, but as it was same owners, it was deemed bending the rules? With regards to debt at Utd, then it's being reduced at a steady rate, so...
  22. Are we starting to compare trophies between Utd and City? No I don't think so... Nobody supporting Man City should be moaning at others with regards to FFP, as they've just gotten done for the worst overspending in Europe, so ....
