  1. Flipping love Lockwood... Hope he finds a way to start scoring goals... for the size of him, he is brilliant at laying out hits...
  2. I will be really disappointed if they get a Bruce bump and we draft 12-16th... Agree about upper management group... The problem with this group is the D and Cap for re-signing players... so far its an F ( maybe Baer helps a little), but Cap is still in garbage land. If they really wanted to tank and thus left the D in this state, I don't get why Bruce has to be the fall guy.... fair enough we seem to be all over the place at times, but we have been scoring for fun, so if we are tanking, at least it hasn't been boring.
  3. Lets hope not... last thing we need is to not at least be in the mix come lottery day.
  4. Just watch the players go out and hammer the Oilers tonight, just to stand up for Bruce... They do anything to ruin their draft position.
  5. No firings.... let the ship sink like Titanic and lets get a proper off season with the changes this team has been screaming for.... Deal with with management/coaches during off season.
  6. The goalie situation has been debated into obliviousness... it was either Marky or Demko. As soon as Bubble Demko showed up, the problem arose. Prior to that, they may have held on to Marky and tried to sneak Demko through. Way too much crying (only my opinion) over the winger, and the fact that Tanev turned into iron man in Calgary, was not something anyone could foreseen. the list of trade proposal including Tanev was endless as he was 'too old' and 'too injury prone'.... He was never properly replaced and that was/still is a major problem. He has still not been replaced... It was disappointing to see Tanev and Marky go, but understandable. If anything, Benning should be held accountable for not knowing, that Demko was good enough to take over, and thus trade either Marky or Demko at TDL. For the record I was also annoyed to see Tanev go...
  7. That is true, but we wouldn't have been wondering, if Bo was going to stay or not. Is 7x8 for Miller any better? or Nearly 7 for 3 years for Brock much better... hmm at least its only 3 years for Brock before he can leave on a free...
  8. Can't disagree on that... very little has been done by anyone, to not make them indispensible...
  9. Well lets see what happens... I've said nummerous times, I think Horvat is traded, and the writing was on the wall, the minute the ink on Millers contract was dry... They probably extended the wrong player, although they both big something defferently... At the end of last season, only few were dead against trading Bo, but his play this season has given management eggs on their faces. Would not be surprised to see Kuz go depending on his situation. what ever they do, the only thing unacceptable would be Bo, Kuz and Schenn leave for free in the summer. In that case J/R, P/A and the chipmunks should all be sacked instantly. And yes Benning may have made a lot of mistakes, but he didn't lowball the players in general...
  10. Pearson, was a prime candidate to get shifted... the list of players looking to be traded, then getting injured is long....
  11. I doubt Benning would have lowballed Horvat like this... JR wanted to trade Bo, but with his stellar play this season, it has kind of back fired...
  12. + he could get an injury, which would screw the whole idea up...
  13. Don't think Horvat would do a thing like that, but the thought process is fair...
  14. Liked him too.... Remember him sticking up for Stecher.... Big balls... Happy retirement Ryan.
  15. Agree 100%... I expect us to get at least 1 extra 1st round pick (or 2nd round pick), once wheeler JR wakes up at the TDL, and for the love of god lets use that together with our own on dmen... we can't find them anywhere, so let s draft them...
  16. True... but I guess it depends if anyone are close in ability. We are not going to contend the next year or two, so while it would be ballsy to pick Michov, timing should not be the concern. Highonhockey mentioned a few concerns, regarding the lack of exposure atm for young russian players. Is he still developing and will he be as good as expected? If the answer to that is yes, then absolutely, but still it depends on where we are picking. Michov is small, thus if he isn't super good, he may struggle to live up to expectation. If the scouts thinks there is a player available close to same ability, I think it should be considered to take that player, simply because we can monitor the progress of the prospect. While I hope, we start finding big Dmen left and righthanded, I hope they don't go fishing for rhd, if they don't think he is worth it...
  17. This is the year... Canucks are going to pick Bedard... The next 15 years are going to be golden...
