Nothing wrong with a team asking a player about his stance behind the scene, but the way Krug and others over the years are being handled and basically being hung out to dry sucks... Does he care? Who knows, but he shouldn't be the fall guy, for wanting his club live up to the contract they offered him...
-
Good on Krug for not budging to the pressure ... The NTCs and NMCs handed out are almost worthless the way players are pressured to just forget about them. In a cap world they should be gold dust in order to keep the salaries down (one thing Gillis did very well to build a strong core). Atm there is almost no reason, why players should sign a discounted contract, as the GMs struggle to honour their side of the bargain... So well done Krug.

Yes please.... D or C either with a bit of size...

Exactly how I feel as well (think you'll find it wasn't me wanting to trade away JT ). JT is the heart beat of this team. He reminds me so much of Kesler in that respect. Kesler was a different animal to the Sedins, and when it was roll your sleeves up time, Kesler was the go to guy. Miller is the same.. For all his faults, he drags the team back into the fight, when the chips are down. We don't have anyone, who comes even close to JT in that respect. A hard hit, a bit of chirping, even dripping the gloves... and all that on top of being almost the top producer in points.... Yes he may be heading slowly towards the twilight of his career, but I can easily see him play at this level 2-3 more seasons. And yes, he loves being the go to guy under Tocchet, so unless they find a close to ready franchise player to slot into his position, I don't see a world, where they'll trade him away. How long did it take us to find a Kesler replacement?

2years? if Woo, d-petey, johanson, etc shouldn't be able in 2 years, they should be shipped out. And Mabe even McWard... we are not talking about anything but support players here. We likely have our 2 puck moving dmen already. If we could aign Tanman to a cheapish 2-3 year, we'd only need 1 big clubber to play with Hronek, surely there will be a couple of players able to play bottom pairing Hirose -? I'm in team draft D... and there are a few that looks ready in a couple of years amongst them. Simashev, Rainbacher, Wilander...

Nobody is going to bite on Rathbone... maybe 1-2 years ago, but not now, he can't even get a spot on a crappy Nux team. No chance....
-
Well that doesn't sound too good. Lets see how it goes. Folk were pissing all over Edler for years... and wanted to trade Tanev.... Even KB3 had a lot of haters. I think we ought to wait and see, what he actually does before passing judgement. I think (or at less hope) management has done a better pro scouting of the player, than Benning did in his wisdom with Guddy and Schmidt...

Did you notice how our fans described Horvat once he left?

Petey, QH and the 11th pick and the first next year unprotected.... maybe... Nah.... no chance....

[Buyout] Oliver Ekman-Larsson

My apologies.... It wasn't aimed at you in particular amigo. It just felt odd, that of all the things folks can be unhappy about, an inside reporter of the team, should really be the last... Her job is to spread the news and exactly as you said Dan murphys job. The Pettersson brand -
During the bubble play offs, he was the most dynamic player together with Bo (obviously besides Demmer)... I want size in the team, but if that isn't feasible cap wise, I'd be happy to bring him back on a cheap deal.

I don't know, how much Motte has fallen off, but unless its severe there are more than a few players I would trade for Motte at a low cap contract.

You can be sure they have tried every avenue available to them. Trades with salary retained etc., but other teams probably tried to get some other goodies to help them out, and in the end it made the most sense to just pay him out. Glad they took the bull by the horns, and did what they felt, they had to in order to improve the team... -

Don't get why folks are annoyed? You all know, she is employed by Canucks, thus it will be PR or very biased reporting... so don't listen to it... I'm ok with hearing Canucks side of the story, instead of all the dooms day journalists, who often don't have a clue about inside stuff, and thus seems to be making it up, just to get clicks... -

As they should do... -
Demko?

How long has it been since Sabbres did anything in the play offs?

All good prospects that I want us to target, they'll take a few years, but we need those in the system. As for Cleveland, as long as they don't see him as another Gudbransson, with dynamite in his gloves, but lead in his skates... They need to be able to skate as well...
-
This is exactly, what I'm talking about... now if he can skate and defend as well, I'll be honest, I could care less about his points... Guddy, with the ability to defend. Yes please, please, please....
