  4. He needs to regain his offensive confidence. Back to London and WJC for him. He and Domi can light it up in the OHL for a while, let him find his feet again.
  5. haha, opened a card pack and got an autographed josh holden card

Going to excuse the Canucks from picking Holden, because that draft was crap anyway.

I have a rookie Crosby, but more importantly, a rookie Jensen.

  6. Best thing about Virtanen is he wants to be here. You all saw how happy he and his family were. Very much like Shinkaruk when he was drafted. IMO he will be better than Kane due to the fact that he is playing at home, and it doesn't appear he has much of an attitude issue
  7. what are the chances shinkaruk and horvat spend another year in jr?

      Rounoush

If I'm correct, Shinkaruk will be too old to go back to junior and will have to play here or in Utica. I say Utica for him. I would say Horvat should do more junior but we will see how he does at camp.

^agree with Shinkaruk. Part of me thinks Horvat might get the 9 games. But yeah, depends highly on preseason

We need offence. Both were close last year at sticking from training camp. I predict one or both with make the team.

  8. quick question, how much cap space do we have right now after Miller, and assuming we sign kassian and tanev

      $11,750,556 as of now

So we basically HAVE to get Vey Kassian and Tanev under contract before trying to sign or trade for anyone else

#Canucks have $11.75M in cap space with three goalies, four roster openings. RFAs: Vey, Kassian, Tanev, Weber. http://capgeek.com/canucks/

  9. is there a specific time where trades and signings must be done by at night. what is the cutoff? 10ET?

    1. Gyllenhaal

      Gyllenhaal

Nope. You can sign/trade whenever you want.

  11. I live in Edmonton, and all the Oilers fans are happy at getting Purcell. They change their perspective of Gagner so quickly... "We should have traded him months back" "Never liked him" etc
  12. :emot-parrot: Hmmm... Maybe some more cap tight teams might be looking to offload some assets.
  13. Not sure how I feel about this, but if it is a decent short term contract then sure
  14. Actually quite comical on Edmonton's part if Tampa gets someone pretty good
  15. im not sure who to contact, made a new account to change my name, but it wouldnt let me resign into it and i could not post anything. Is there something small i'm overlooking?

  16. Hard to stay positive these days, but there we are, those are the prices we pay supporting a team with no passion #FIREEVERYONE
  17. As per Darren Dreger, The Pittsburgh Penguins will try their best to acquire Ryan Kesler from the Vancouver Canucks before the Trade Deadline. According to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, Penguins GM Ray Shero will do everything he can to trade for Kesler by Wednesday's deadline. "Dreger reports the Penguins aren't the only team showing interest in the veteran centre, however, with the Detroit Red Wings, Columbus Blue Jackets, and New York Rangers also showing interest."
  18. Good luck beating team Canada's starter boys, we simply don't have the offensive prowess to do it
