  1. MSL-Crosby-Stamkos Perry-Getzlaf-Giroux Nash-Toes-Tavares Staal-Duchene-Hall Win
  2. Well that would be the most optimal solution, then again, Gillis has a high chance of botching it.
  3. Assuming they play how we know they can, Danny-Kes-Burr seems similar to either of Bostons top lines. With health I could see point totals around 85-70-55, then Booth(40ish)-Hank(85)-Kass/Santo(30/40). Would free up our 3rd liners to actually play the third line. Swap that around however you want but bottom line is we could have some secondary scoring, add in a top PP and one of the highest scoring bluelines..... you got yourself a stew. A 2nd liner brought in would make it better as well which is still a possibility.
  4. Sounds like more GM excuses, if a guy is valuable, sign him. Plenty of D bags in this league, they are grown men, deal with it. Winning is contagious, fixes most problems.
  5. Im not even a Hoff fan, just not a fan of letting assets walk for nothing. I don't mind stripping the team of certain players as long as they are replaced, they have not been.
  6. Torres was not damaged goods when we let him go, only after the Hossa hit, as a yote, was he a marked man. The guy scored a OT winner vs us in a play off sweep, how much more of a exclamation mark can a guy make lol. Gauging points by Sabres numbers is laughable.
  7. Torres and Hoff did not chase the money. Quite the opposite, they wanted security. Regardless, the two of them barely scratches the surface of Gillis' goofs.
  8. Every move has just defied logic, there was no need for "moneyball", either make a move for an upgrade, or leave it the **** alone. Love the team so much, it actually causes physical and emotional damage to me to watch what has happened. It's not even a hind sight thing, an ounce of common sense would have kept this team dominant.
  9. Still don't understand how the manager of a contending team trades his two most valuable and movable pieces for prospects that would be lucky to reach a level as high as their counterparts.
  10. They sure did, then that goof had to grind away and chisel the roster down to what we have today. It takes a special kind of awful to turn a diamond back into carbon.
  11. I don't understand how people can think that Gillis is good at his job. It's just painful to watch, kills me inside to think of what this team could have been with competent management.
  12. Demaryious Thomas didn't learn to catch until recently, Decker still can't and Denvers doing fine. Pats might be okay... hope not though..
  13. I hear that, Sproles is my only starter worth a damn. After that, Bilal Powell, Knowshon Moreno, Jaquim Bell.....
  14. I drafted 5 average running backs, 3 QB's and 2 TE's. Still gonna win by a landslide.
  15. Giant Flacco poster hanging from Mile High stadium, apparently they asked Rahim Moore to take it down, but he couldn't quite reach it.
  16. I noticed we got swept without him.. He's already better defensively than Edler, lets not hope he digresses.
  17. Tanev is willing to take a hit to make a play. Juice seemingly no longer is. Who's tougher? Doesn't take balls to pop someone in the jaw you know can't throw back. Teams need depth scoring to win the cup, we need quality 3rd pairing D-men who can move up if needed to stop them. Replacing him with Corrado or Weber is not gonna fill the hole left behind.
  18. Would much rather have someone like Evander Kane over Lucic. Faster, better skater and more aware. Don't know what they're gonna do with the centers, but snubbing Getzlaf in favour of Bergeron would be a big mistake. Build an OLYMPIC team.
  19. Tanev is the only thing that keeps this D semi-respectable should 1 injury occur in the top 4.
  20. "replaceable" " nothing special" I don't even wan't to think about how bad our D would have sucked last year without him. Between Bieksa and Edler with their lazy bone headed moves, it's nice to have a D-man that plays safe and without fear. Tanev is important, losing him would make the team worse, simple.
  21. Great pickup, think he'll be a beast in the PO.
  22. No one ever blocked a second shot from Garrison.
  23. He's definitely been better since, but today I really noticed his nifty little passes, especially in our end.
