  1. Received a job offer in Nova Scotia for 61500 annually. Trying to work out the taxes so that I can figure out what my biweekly pay check looks like. Any help? (Yes I have googled stuff)

I'm only 24 though! I got a long way to go before I get to retirement

I will heed your advice though, thanks for the tips! It's almost unanimous and I had a chat with my dad and he said the same thing, so it's decided! I'll opt for the 6% RRSP.

@CanuckinEdm haha almost! I'm fairly happy with it. I can at least to buy my first home here. In Vancity even if I'm pulling 6 figures I'd be hard-pressed to find a decent home. Plus here they only need a 5% down payment, as opposed to 20% or however much it is in Vancouver.

But RRSP contributions also help on your overall annual income tax.  So it's a win win situation.

Never put any money into an RRSP it's the dumbest thing you can do especially when you have a TSFA. The money you save will be taxed when you cash it out, likely in a higher tax bracket - you'll pay more tax, so you're not saving any money and in fact losing money. TSFA is 100% tax free on its gains. Anyone who tells you to put money in RRSP has no idea what they're talking about.
