    I'm open to negotiations.

But it better be a good offer otherwise they can "get to know themselves, in the conjugal way"

    Hey man,

This forum existed for nearly 2 decades and it'll exist for another two. I don't post a lot but it gives me something to read when i'm procrastinating at work.

Who's to say that ASP, Danielson, Kasper, Edvinsson, and Cossa won't be busts?

We are going to see Dylan Larkin turn 30 before they become contenders, and who are going to be their top centers then?

Red Wings need to make the playoffs this year, otherwise it will be a lost year

You mean if the unlikely outcome of Kasper and Danielson busting out?

Yzerman will figure it out just look at what he built in Tampa Bay. The team came with Stamkos and Hedman but all the great nabs in free agency, the drafting and the trades. We need management like that.

Keep in mind, down the middle they also have Amadeus Lombardi. Sounds like a nobody but he put up 102 pts in the OHL with Flint. Former 2nd round pick. On the wing they've done pretty well with Mazur, Berggren and Hanas. If I had to say definitively, this Red Wings rebuild should go on for another year or two.

They've still got some great pieces, they'll have some young guys, they're stacked on the left side on defense what they really need to work on is their depth upfront.

BTW, adding DeBrincat wasn't a "win-now" move. They signed him to a long-term deal and he's 25. If they rebuild for two more years, DeBrincat will be in his prime flanking Larkin. By than, they'll have a tone of veteran leadership to support a really good core of young players.

  3. People don't get the Wings' moves but I do

    Plan A

Make playoffs, select with a pick in the late teens or early 20s

    Plan B

Miss Playoffs narrowly, select with a pick from 7-14

    Plan C

Miss playoffs decidedly, sell veterans for picks and prospects. Pick in the top ten with their own pick, give Boston's pick to Ottawa and use the cap space and roster flexibility to do better next year. Perron, Gostisbehere, Reimer, Sprong and Fischer are all on expiring contracts.

With the extra draft capital and another high pick, Detroit gets one step closer to being a powerhouse once more. With Sandin-Pellikka, Danielson, Kasper, Edvinsson, Cossa, another top 10 pick next year coming up the pipeline Detroit, Buffalo and Ottawa will knock Boston, Tampa Bay and possibly Toronto out of contention in the Atlantic Division .

This isn't about the Red Wings, but I find it outrageous how barren the Maple Leafs cupboard is. They picked first overall in 2016 to get Auston Matthews and now, if they don't go deep in the playoffs they're facing down the barrel at another rebuild. Matthews, Nylander, Bertuzzi, Domi, Brodie, Klingberg, Samsonov and Giordano are all UFAs after next season. They don't re-sign Matthews, which is a must, there's probably no one left as a UFA to replace him. Lindholm? Scheifele? Stephenson? Roslovic? Duchene?

    Anyways, I rest my peace.

  4. 1) No one gives a flying f*ck about some stupid flowers especially a person on the verge of homelessness. You want to help, maybe help her get some housing or buy her a donut or a cup of coffee. But to buy flowers, something she cannot take care of and then getting mad at her for not carrying them around with her is just bad karma

    2) Why do you keep posting about this?

    3) I'm pretty sure she's buying coffee. If she is, it's her right to sit there as damn well long as she wants as long as the Timmy's is open. Period.

    4) Are you posting about this because you know Cindy? Because straight up, if I were her I'd be really upset. This is a huge invasion of privacy. If you know her, please wish her luck on my behalf.

For now, that's all I have to say on the matter.

Kadri was Colorado’s biggest loss this year by far. You can’t win a cup unless you are strong down the middle. Which is the reason Miller will not get traded.

Losing both your 1C and your 2C in the same summer is unheard of for a Stanley Cup contender. I’m not even sure Boston makes the playoffs next year.

Remember, Ullmark only played 49 games as a starter this year. That’s the most he’s ever played in one year. They relied on Swayman to start almost half the games. Ullmark showed in the playoffs that he can’t handle the load. Swayman is an RFA.  He’s arbitration eligible. His numbers should get him a $3 million+ contract.  Boston doesn’t have the cap space to re-sign him. Without Swayman I don’t think Ullmark will have the same season he had this year. He will regress.

Who is Pasta gonna play with next year?  Who’s going to feed him the puck?  Will he pull a Huberdeau?  I mean how many points is he gonna get with Pavel Zacha as his centre and with the opposition’s top checking line on him every game?

I'm confident Zacha could be comfortable as a 2C in Boston

In free agency, notably Max Domi is available. Linus Ullmark could be traded. They could use the haul from the Ullmark trade to rid themselves of that Rielly contract. That'll give them enough to sign Domi and go with Swayman as the #1

  6. Boeser, Miller and Garland could still potentially be moved.

Obviously, I do not approve of this trade. You build teams through the draft and those picks could've brought a really valuable asset home. If we rebuild for four years, we've got a team approaching cup contender status with two elite players, Pettersson and Hughes in their prime.

However, if we get a top three pick this year, I've got this goal of drafting either Leo Carlsson, Will Smith or Brayden Yager to play behind Pettersson. Carlsson is obviously my favorite, I see him as a player reminiscent of Mats Sundin.

Now, Hronek. What kind of player is he? Is he a good partner for Hughes at an average height of 6'0? Is he better suited for Ekman-Larsson.

Man have their been a lot of trades this year

  7. Get a pick from the Kraken to take him off their hands then ship out Demko for picks and prospects. Driedger can alternate with a new young goalie that we acquire from another team. The Sabres, for instance, have Luukkonen, Levi and Portillo in their system. Portillo probably walks but Levi and Luukkonen are both no.1 caliber goaltenders. Then there's Minnesota, who have Wallstedt and Gustavsson. Wallstedt is untouchable but Gustavsson is only 24 and looks pretty good.

There's some guys that we can get through the draft, Silovs is decent and might be an NHL guy one day. Boston has Swayman backing up, they've got Ullmark as their starter who is the best goalie in the NHL right now. If Swayman comes available and we sent JT Miller their way and the goalie was part of the package coming back, that might be a good move.

    IDK folks just spit-balling here
