  1. What will Josh Manson's next contract look like?

Is he more valuable to them than Toews @ 4.1M? I'd say 4-5M is fair but he'll likely see offers of 6M+ tomorrow.

  3. So BC on April 1st 2021 during a pandemic decides it's a good idea to make people pay more for heat in their house, and gas for their cars to drive to work when BC already pays the highest across Canada. This province is the JOKE today.

Yeah the timing isn't great. At least they didn't do what City of New West did - they increased the rates on January 1st this year then read all the meters in the first week of January, saying the rate increase applied to any bills spanning that period. IE raising rates for the entire winter period after the fact.

And yeah, New West still has manual meter readers rather than smart meters lol.

  5. With the shortened season, has the number of games played required to be considered a player's rookie season changed?

I don't think Calder eligibility would be affected as that is based on what has already happened ie games already played.

I could see this season being prorated to adjust to compensate for the number of games going forward but I also don't feel the 26 game difference merits it.

  6. Good cheap packed lunch ideas?  I’ve been heating up the frozen meals for lunch.

I do something in the slow cooker most weekends and make a big batch of sides:

This week: pork chops in broth on low for 5 hours (just season to taste and cover with beef broth) with a big pot of mashed potatoes

previous week: chicken thighs and veggie fried rice

pork shoulder & tacos is a go to - you can get huge packs of tortillas at Donald's market and literally make tacos out of anything.

basically make 6 of one meal for yourself a few times a week and have a bunch of tupperwares loaded and ready to go. I find besides the food prep (mostly chopping) it generally takes about the same about of time to cook for 6 vs 1.

Neither Sedin even came close to 50 points until they were 23. 70ish points at 24.

liquor's calling the shots now, randy

  10. Who's a fan of dry apple cider? Good, farm pressed cider hits the spot, but what about alcoholic versions?

I like the dry apple ciders from Left Field, and if I want to cheap out I'll go with Lonetree Dry. Sea Cider makes some great dry ciders, and an honourable mention to Salt Spring Island, but at almost 20 bucks a bottle I'd almost rather buy a Zinfandel. Why is that? After all, they're both fruit...

Central City's Hopping Mad is a pretty good hopped dry/tart cider that's only like $15 a 6 pack - they have it at most BCL's.

The Left Field stuff is all great, the Sea Cider I find a little pricey for what it is.

Liberty Wine Merchants especially the one on Commercial Drive has a great BC cider selection!

I stocked up well enough yesterday to quite possibly be considered an LC. At least when we woke up this morning.

  12. So I'm graced with the luxury of watching the Leafs Wings game on TSN, but when I wanted to watch the Habs Sharks game it was "unavailable in my area".

Get bent everybody involved with that.

I was also pretty upset when I didn't get to watch the Habs/Kings* game. I watched Django Unchained instead though...

  13. Does anyone know what song they play(ed) at the game.  Lyrics are simple:  "come on, come on, come on....".    It's a speedy tempo song and I love it.

  14. Man, NHL.com keeps stepping up their game in the stats department. One more thing I'll be using their site for instead of others: https://www.nhl.com/news/nhl-historical-stats-now-available/c-291389804?tid=282169076

    When the day is done
    I'm looking for a woman
    But the girl don't come
    So don't let her

She don't show no pity, baby
    She don't make no rules

Gotta love Zeppelin. Went camping last weekend with 15-20 people there at times... the only time people weren't arguing over what music to play was when I put on their entire discography starting with Zep I.

Murray, Murray, YOU SUCK! IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!

Almost more entertaining than the game itself!

  17. If the Canucks win the lottery (BIG IF) do we expose Sutter to the lottery, trade him, or have him as our 4th line center next year?

@ReggieBush it just makes them work that much harder to earn it ^_^

    1. Chronic.Canuck

      Chronic.Canuck

Why not use Sutter to shelter whichever young center steps in the lineup? Have Sutter take some of the faceoffs and be on the kid's right wing to help them defensively.
