Canucks 2022 Young Stars Tourney Thread
Chronic.Canuck replied to CRAZY_4_NAZZY's topic in Prospects / Farm Team
If the Canucks win 2/3 games for a whole season that's a 100 point year. That would be called a team of winners. Relax, go have another scotch. Or a cat or whatever.- 979 replies

Canucks 2022 Young Stars Tourney Thread

I usually just say Brains without the R -
My team could use a RD of his stature.

As someone who recently got back into playing hockey, I find it crazy that he can open his hips and push off like that with his feet aiming almost directly apart. That takes an insane combination of flexibility, strength and balance. I know he's a professional hockey player and literally skates for a living, but not every NHLer can do that and it opens up a lot of ice when you are able to move laterally while staying facing the play, with or without the puck. Really excited to see him in game action and think he could have an impact similar to Garland for us.

I think it was Kevin Weekes' forehead -
Knowing this fanbase, even Justin Dowling will go down in Canucks legends if this current roster wins a cup

He's already playing in a pro league so they don't have to worry about getting him a paycheque to advance his training and nutrition. I imagine they may want to leave an extra contract space for the moment. Not sure what the slide rules are for an ELC in Europe, I'm sure @SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME could let us know if there is some advantage to signing him after this season/at an older age.

They sure did Calgary a little favour putting Tkachuk on the last day to give them extra time to try and trade him -

[Signing] Senators sign Claude Giroux

I've been saying for about 3 seasons that Ottawa will win a playoff series before Toronto will. Mostly because I hate the Leafs but also because of the young and exciting group of players they've built. Add Debrincat, Giroux, subtract Melnyk and you've got an Ottawa team on the rise that hopefully won't sell their stars in their primes. -
Would be happy to have him back. If he could stay healthy a full season I'd say he was worth something like 3 x 2M but he misses a lot of time which will hurt him in contract negotiations.
