Jay Beagle has championship rings from the ECHL, AHL and NHL. There is nothing wrong with Gadjovich going down to the Zoo and developing some confidence. Right now he just looks lost. Plus none of us knows how he looks in practice which could also be influencing playing decisions.

Christ! What happened to Gads? Didn't he have a good camp? Has he regressed? I was hoping that he could have come up and provided his heavy game and another good net front presence. I think Beagle could really accelerate his development.

Well he seems to be the guy getting scratched a lot. Management probably didn’t see something like this happpening when they made the decision of turning all these guys pro. I think Kzoo would definitely benefit Gadj just for the simple fact that he’d be playing 17+ minutes every game and on the #1 PP. Benching 19 year olds is never good for their development.

I have high hopes for Gadjovich, I hope he gets his skating up to speed. That won't happen if he's riding the pine in Utica

Looks like Gadjovich remains out of the lineup for tonight’s game.

And Lyszczarczyk (whose name I can spell now—no I can’t—messed it up—yes I can—I think) has scored the opener. 1-0 Owen Sound.

Hounds quickly answer and now 1-1.

Gadjovich plays a heavy game. Was it an obvious injury or is it wear and tear?

Jašek’s AHL points streak ends at 3 games as the Comets lose 1-0 tonight.

Lukáš had some good chances and led all Utica skaters with 4 SOG. Just couldn’t solve Pasquale, who saved all 26 shots he faced.

Jašek also showed his feisty side and was active in scrums during what was a pretty chippy game. Ended up with a roughing minor after coming to a teammate’s defense.

Obviously another game tying goal from Jašek would have been pretty nice, but I’d imagine Utica fans were still quite happy with the performance of the young Czech forward. He didn’t score but he was active all over the ice and definitely one of the better Comets skaters.

    Thanks for your work Sid!

  5. To be clear, that's what I perceive his potential to be.

Whether he reaches that or not is another matter altogether.

He has to play for the Canucks right from the start of the next season or clear waivers.

3rd & 4th line minutes & press box time did not help his progression in Calgary, maybe it will in Vancouver.

Unless you think he can play 2nd line LW.....

Travis Green's style will set him up beautifully for what we need in the big club. He'll do just fine.

  6. "I kept my ceiling for Baertschi to be a very good every day top-6 forward (20g/55~60 points in his prime), which I'd say is quite optimistic."

    Agreed.

Excellent for a second round pick I'd say.
