  1. Anybody regret yet that JB didn't take Mittelstadt in the draft???  I was so happy when the Sabres took him.  He's been lighting the game on fire!

@luckylagerI forgot to comment on your weight gain comment.  There's a right way and a wrong way to bulk up.  Gaining weight for just the sake of gaining weight is easy enough to do.

I had to do it in high school when I split my time between football and hockey.  Since high school football season ran into part of my hockey season, I would carry extra weight/bulk that wasn't conducive to hockey.  Once football season ended, I could stop carb loading as well as ease up on my workouts and the weight would melt off and you could tell that with my performance on the ice each year.  I of course didn't have world class hockey skill like Pettersson so I'm wondering how much the extra weight that he is going to have to gain for the NHL will affect him.

I don't get bent outta shape over Jake. He's totally inconsistent and lost too often.

A client of mine's son played bantam with Jake, and his occasional effort was evident even back then. Apparently he'd show up for a period, run guys over, score a hatty, then spend the rest of the game admiring his stick.

      I ain't mad.

But Pettersson looks to be a far more dangerous and well rounded player than "I can't even do a pull up because my mom spoon feeds me Kraft Dinner and Kaotain Krunch", Midlstad.

And no, I won't spell his name properly, until he deserves it.

@Odd. I think Reinhart's time may be over after this year if the Sabres can recoup the cost of a first round pick for him.

If not, they may end up putting him on a one year prove it contract.

I'm also not too stoked on Nylander.  He hasn't been doing that well in the AHL.
