  1. The story of how former Canuck/Sabre Alexander Mogilny was spirited away from the Soviets and out from under the KGB's noses.

@Sabrefan1  Some guys never "grow up".  Some just take longer.  Mogilny ended up fitting up quite well under a Jacques Lemaire system - you better be good at your play without the puck if you're going to see the ice at all with him as coach.

A shame either him or Bure were always injured during the time both were Canucks.

Mogilny was great.  Problem is, he knew it.

He didn't like it when he eventually had to lose some ice time with others on the Sabres.  Once he was traded, the Canucks made him aware that it was the same everywhere.  However he got to play with Bure so he was happier than a pig in poop regardless.

By the time Vancouver traded him, his skills were ever so slowly declining and he was getting more prone to injuries so he no longer could get upset about his playing time especially the year he took home a Cup with New Jersey.

There was a TSN original a few years ago; fascinating story.  Hell of a player, especially with LaFontaine.  Too bad the reunion with Bure never really clicked.
