  1. I doubt it, but I'd be willing to bet that there are easily millions of illegal and/or unregistered guns floating around. There aren't many guns that are actually considered illegal in the US. It's more like who is in possession of them. For instance, convicted felons aren't allowed to have firearms.
  2. I once posted a video of a child in Texas being trained on how to fire an Uzi. Predictably, she couldn't handle the kickback and ended up killing the instructor.
  3. You'll have to PM me that link. The one I saw was of the fat guy standing in the back less than 10 feet away who got off the first shot.
  4. I'm a proponent for the 2nd amendment, but the problem is that even though there are more guns than people in the US, those guns are held by a surprisingly small percentage of the populace. Unfortunately not all states are like Texas where the good guys with guns highly outnumber the bad guys with them. Had this happened in a state like Massachusetts, this easily could have been waaay uglier.
  5. No it doesn't. They pause it just as he shoots. It's ABC News' video. *edit* Also, it was more than one volunteer security/parishioner who shot the gunman. They shot him at point blank range. You could be a terrible shot and still kill someone when you're that close.
  6. New York State is losing plastic bags beginning in the new year. Fortunately you can buy rolls of them on Amazon and they're only about the size of a roll of toilet paper. I'm gonna buy a roll and stick it in my glove compartment and tear off a few when I go to the store. ....and yes, I am selfish. I'll let you Millennials fish my shopping bags out of the ocean after I'm dead.
  7. What stops a bad guy with a gun in Texas? Two good guys with a gun. One of the dumbest places on Earth to pull a gun out and start shooting would be a church in Texas. Someone pulled out a shotgun and started firing at people and was quickly shot and killed by two armed parishioners who were volunteer church security. In the actual unedited livestream it shows two or three more people pulled their guns as well (it is Texas after all) but never got a shot off. Sadly, CNN is reporting 2 people were killed before the gunman was taken out.
  8. I'm just not excited by the team as a whole this year. A few bright spots with the rest seemingly pedestrian.
  9. I totally forgot about today's game!! Good grief I'm slacking... I'd say I could make it up during our round-robin game, but this year's US team isn't exactly overly talented so I'm not even sure they'll do well enough to see Canada again.
  10. Nobody, because he's not worth the roster spot unless the Canucks run into injury disaster next year. I hope he never does but it worries me that there's a 1 in 30 chance. Sadly the Sabres have their own under achieving forward from that same UFA class. Unfortunately that's what happens when an owner hires 2 crappy GM's in a row after keeping another crappy GM employed previous to that.
  11. I want to be mean to you but I'm not going to be for 2 reasons. I may know you on your main account. It's Christmas.
  12. He has no room to complain because he's been the man of glass for just about his entire career. Only crappy and mediocre teams have wanted him. Mediocre and injury prone 30 year old d-man who plays for mediocre teams. Don't get too cocky because the Canucks may be his next stop. They've been just as aggravating to watch as the Sabres. I would know.
  13. AJ Green would be a short 2-3 year signing until the Bills could draft and train a long term replacement. They definitely need a big bodied #1 WR though. So does NE for that matter. I could easily see him choosing NE first. NE needs to do something about their receivers because the AFC East teams aren't going to see a repeat year of playing against cupcake teams.
  14. Sign him to a reasonable 3 year contract and let him fight it out with Demko for the starting spot. Competition will only make both goaltenders better which in turn will win the Canucks games.
  15. You Canadians and your cocaine... https://www.blogto.com/city/2019/05/canada-ranked-second-highest-cocaine-use-world
  16. I'm kinda wondering that myself. I thought it was the flu, but I had times confusion along with head, neck, and upper back pain. I probably should have went to the doctor since those are signs of meningitis. Oh well since I'm still alive, even if it was a mild-moderate meningitis, it was viral and not lethal. Brees has always benefited from playing in a dome for most of his games.
  17. I think people have mostly given props to the Pats for giving Gordon second chances even when they didn't need him. They showed a lot of patience until Gordon screwed up one too many times.
  18. This is something like his 5th time. He might be done from NFL football for good. His only hope is that marijuana is excluded from testing in the next CBA.
  19. What is my problem this past week?! The proper use of the English language has eluded me. I edited it so it isn't a weird all or nothing proposition.
  20. Pats win and I'll put, "The Patriots didn't spy on the Bungles" in my sig for 48 hours. Bills win, you put, "No one circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills" in yours for 48 hours.
  21. Remember when some chose Mittelstadt as an early 2018 Calder favourite?  It's a year and a half later annnnd...

@Odd.I was initially on the Cody Glass bandwagon myself. Am sure glad I'm not the one doing the drafting (my choices would have been: Nylander, Konecny, Tkachuk, Glass, Hughes, Boldy).

@vinny_in_vancouver Your draft choices are pretty good mate! I would have been happy with that. Hindsight being 20/20 I’m glad we got Peter and Hughes but again those are good choices!

@#CanucksNot at the cost of franchise player Petey though. I think that pre-injury Boeser with his laser shot was borderline franchise player. I had Quinn at number 3 so at where he ended up was a no-brainer pick. If PLD and Juolevi were available, from my understanding, both Linden and Benning would have selected PLD so that's too bad.
