  1. Doubtful. The Switch is their premium handheld, while 3DS would be a basic. The 3DS is still profitable. It remains to be seen if the Switch will ever be.
  2. You poor poor console peasants.... Now Nintendo is even charging for you to play their games online. http://www.businessinsider.com/nintendo-switch-online-service-paid-details-2017-1
  3. Here's a Forbes reporter's take on the release.... He is pretty much saying what the gaming media and Nintendo gamers in general have been worried about, anemic 3rd party game company cooperation. http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2017/01/13/why-im-worried-the-nintendo-switch-is-just-another-wii-u/#1b0bcd4351f0
  4. They've done it before. We'll see soon enough if they do it again.
  5. An unsubstantiated rumour is beginning to make the rounds that Nintendo isn't going to have much stock in physical stores like Gamestop when the Switch launches.
  6. Nice non-answer there chuckles. Now you're just adding something I never said or even thought for that matter.
  7. Sony most recently burned themselves with the PS Vita. The PSP wasn't a blockbuster either. I think it's safe to say that they will never go the hybrid route.
  8. I'm curious to see how it will do. Nintendo is the king of handheld gaming so if I had to venture a guess, I would say that they are competing against themselves more than they are against MS and Sony. Switch = Premium handheld 3DS = Basic-Entry Handheld If they come out with a price point higher than $250, the Switch will be DOA as far as the handheld-oriented buyers.
  9. Actually Nintendo makes a small profit from their hardware sales. That's one of the reasons why they are under-powered compared to Sony and Microsoft's offerings. That's also why I laugh whenever someone on YouTube or in the gaming "media" claims that if Nintendo's Switch doesn't sell that they may just become a 3rd party software maker. Nintendo is sitting on mountains of cash and as long as they don't spend it on subsidizing their consoles, they can keep going as a hardware maker.
  10. The PS4 may possibly break the PS2's sales record before this generation is over and done, but Sony doesn't make much if any money on hardware sales. Games are where they and others make their profits. The gaming industry is in serious flux right now. It's too early to tell where the consoles will end up. Personally I don't think they'll ever die, but I think that they are slowly on their way to becoming marginalized by PC and mobile device (yuk) gaming.
  11. Let's see who gets triggered with this post..... --------------- Tim Sweeney, CEO of Epic Games, thinks that consoles are slowly heading into the crapper. Guess which platform he believes is taking over: (hint) http://wccftech.com/sweeney-console-market-downturn/
  12. I played on Pacific. You're used to UO post-Trammel. Trammel helped kill UO for me. I preferred UO's hardcore PvP days. I used to run around south of Britain and grief/pk new players using only a fishing rod. Trammel saved the game though since people were quitting in droves after EverQuest went online. North American online gamers back then were wimps. The freeshard I play on now was once very popular but is now sparsely populated with maybe a hundred or so people online during peak times in the winter months.
  13. Crai more while getting your panties out of your crack and read the rest of the thread where I have said that I'm just teasing people.
  14. I had hope mixed in with a touch of Homerism after the pick-up of Loui. I wanted him to be a solid league-wide top 6 player. It didn't take long for that hope to circle the drain and disappear. Like most, I wasn't a fan of the long term in the contract, but I would have been happy with at least 4 prime years. Both the Sabres and Canucks are managing to disappoint me this year.
  15. Considering he's 60 and can't hold an NFL job for longer than a couple of seasons at a time, I'd be surprised to see him as a HC in the NFL.
  16. I think there's a good chance that Taylor will be in Denver next year.
  17. She seems to be fighting smarter than she used to. When she slowed down against Shevchenko, she knew how to keep/protect her lead until the 3rd round was over. I'm just curious to see her fight in the championship rounds. Unless she fights Shevchenko again, I don't think we'll see that for a while though. Zingano has lost her last 2 fights so she won't receive another shot at Nunes any time soon.
  18. Kelly is my favourite of all time as well. Lynn is most likely getting the job by default. Whaley wants complete control over the roster and no experienced coach will agree to that. The only other person that I could see possibly getting the job over Lynn would be Frank Reich. Taylor can be as unhappy as he wants to be. Had he gotten seriously injured in that pointless game, the Bills would have been on the line for $30 Million next season. Tyrod isn't worth anywhere near $30 Million.
  19. Also, just an fyi for a few people here: Holmes = Big black male boxer from decades ago. Holm = Pretty long haired blond white chick currently in the UFC.
  20. The only things that make me wonder about her future is her TKO loss to Cat Zingano and her lack of stamina that begins around the end of the second round. Cat was able to absorb her punches and eventually win the fight in the 3rd. Shevchenko, who beat Holm, could take the hits as well but lost to Nunes in a decision. It seems to me like Nunes is a feast or famine type of fighter. She's a terror for the first 8 minutes, but once the 3rd, 4th, and 5th rounds roll up, she's very human. Kinda like the woman version of Conor McGregor in the octagon.
  21. On bigger fight nights, I can usually drag several people into conversations during the PPV card.
  22. My internet was down fight night. Wished I could have been on CDC during the prelims and mains.
  23. Shady provided 30% of the Bills' offense all on his own.
  24. On purpose?! I have no choice but to watch them because I've been a fan since 1980, but you do have a choice!
  25. Rex's 4-6 defensive scheme was figured out by the rest of the league years ago. It no longer has a place in the NFL.
