  1. @Rick Blight just beat ya to it by a few minutes. But the translation joke was very solid!
  2. Thanks for the perspective. I didn't realize that Canada's job market had huge swings like this. I'll edit my original post.
  3. Thanks. Good luck will be both teams escaping without injuries. Being a fan of both teams, I'm more happy when everyone finishes healthy than I am with either team winning. Now the other 29 teams, I don't give a rat's patootie whether their stars twist an ankle or take a hard check into the boards when the Sabres or Canucks play them.
  4. I'm way too obnoxious to actually do one. I'd troll hard with the post and get the more gullible people on CDC to freak out and inundate the mods with complaints about a Sabres fan doing a Canucks gameday thread.
  5. Like I keep saying, Canadians are becoming more like us Americans by the day!
  6. I'll bet you'll still find closet Yakupov fans on CDC if they suddenly felt the need to be honest.
  7. Ouch. In Canada, this should be borderline scandalous. PM Blackface's party needs to feel the wrath of the electorate during the next round of choosing which party will screw up the least. *edit* @Rick Blight put the job numbers into perspective a few posts down.
  8. Most people know and every once in a while someone on CDC posts about it. I figured I'd be the one this time since I'm actually a fan of the Sabres.
  9. Oh and some of you already know this story, but here's a quick video of the Sabres and Taro Tsujimoto.
  10. Dahlin has been out for a little while with a concussion and hasn't recovered yet, so that's not gonna help with the Sabres' goaltending situation either.
  11. I usually post a Sabres pump-up video on the Sabres vs Canucks thread, but this game is going to go one of two ways. The goaltending will be good and the Sabres will eke out a close win or the goaltending will be inconsistent and substandard and the Canuck are going to feast.
  12. Ask them to turn off/disconnect the meter and then ground out any overages you generate and cease sending your excess power into the grid. Hook up a propane or gas powered generator directly into your main circuit breaker for any emergency power needs.
  13. Cowboys get beat on the field, their fans get beat(up) off of the field. *NSFW | In a spoiler tag because even though nobody involved could throw a proper punch, there were still punches thrown (sort of).
  14. I have some memes already queued up and ready to post to rub it in case the Sabres win.
  15. Babcock would want a more stable franchise with more veteran players most likely. New Jersey is lucky it still has a team.
  16. Losing to the Sabres 7-1 last night was the straw that broke the camels back I'm sure.
  17. Possible, but the news is that Jones is interested in Lincoln Riley.
  18. With the Patriot's defense getting softer and coming back down to Earth, the offense better figure out how to play better or they may not even make it past the divisional round of the playoffs.
  19. I have always hated prevent defensive formations at the end of games. They're designed to give up chunks of the field at a time in order to run the clock down. Brady almost won the game for his team because the Texas thought they could contain him long enough to run out the clock. It almost cost the Texas the game.
  20. I'm not saying Brady is bad, because he's not. He's still one of the best in the league at age 42. He even told his receivers on the sideline that they need to be better. I just don't see that "it" factor from Brady this year. Maybe it's also a matter of his receivers are so bad, sans Edelman, that it comes down to a matter of you can only polish turds so much until you just have to accept them for what they are and that no matter how much you polish them, they will never shine.
  21. I hope the Chiefs' 25th ranked defense can contain Brady and Edelman well enough to beat them, but I wouldn't bet on it. Although to your point the Texans did it with the 20th ranked defense (minus 2 of their best to boot) so I guess it's possible if the Patriots have yet another pedestrian outing.
  22. If the Bills didn't have so much turnover in the offseason, I'd call it a revenge game for last year, but neither team even has the same starting QB anymore.
  23. KC's defense is suspect. Brady and Belichick will figure them out and win the game. The Bills have a great D, but because of the way they play the pass, it leaves a little extra room open for good runners. Lamar is going to start running on them and when the Bills stick Edmunds on him, that'll open up short and intermediate passing lanes. Unfortunately I can see that game getting ugly.
  24. Brady is finally starting to decline. This is the first season that I've seen him not be able to make inferior receivers look better than they are. It's one of the things that I point to when I argue with anyone that he's the best QB to ever play the game. I wouldn't be surprised to see Belichick take a QB in the first or second round this year.
  25. If the Bills weren't playing the Ravens next week, there would be a legitimate chance this year of the Patsies in the wildcard, but the Ravens unfortunately are going to mop the floor with the Bills on Sunday.
