  1. There's a reason that a lot of NFL and NHL fan bases do not like Philly fans. Very little class.
  2. I actually thought there was a possible chance that Kapanen would fall out of the first round.
  3. Basically that he doesn't think that he will gain anything by playing in juniors, and that he would want to play back home against better players until he can play in the NHL.
  4. You're probably right. Chicago may nab Kapanen. I think Kapanen shot himself in the foot.
  5. Like I said in another thread, Kapanen didn't do himself any favours by announcing that he wasn't going to play in the junior league again. He wants to go home and play in Europe.
  6. If the Sabres end up trading picks with Calgary, I'm calling Draisaitl to the Sabres as long as Edmonton doesn't take him.
  7. Oh good God, not Philadelphia. Get yer butt in gear JB!!
  8. Tallon needs to "sh*t or get off the pot." If he isn't going to be reasonable then he should just announce that the first round pick isn't in play any longer.
  9. Two more hours to go... If Tallon is serious about dealing that #1 pick he is cutting it awfully close.
  10. It's starting to look like Tallon is going to want the moon and the stars for the first pick. If he's going to be unreasonable then he's just wasting other GM's time while tying up players that can be used for other trades.
  11. ...........and the bidding begins soon. Terry Pegula is confirmed as one of the bidders. He sold his land holdings just in the nick of time.... http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/buffalo-bills-prospective-buyers-contacted1-061914 I am very nervous about this whole thing....
  12. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/06/18/richard-sherman-phil-bates-throw-punches-in-fight-at-seahawks-mini-camp/ *It happens all of the time in football during summer practices. Especially when they double them up. Here's a link to the story just in case somebody wants to read it.
  13. A couple of years ago they were the second highest. http://www.forbes.com/lists/2010/30/football-valuations-10_Washington-Redskins_300925.html
  14. If it goes to appeal, he can get a temporary injunction. If the appeal is accepted by a court and then fails, then it can definitely hit him in the pocketbook. If he changes the name on a failed appellate decision, it would obviously be for business reasons. He obviously isn't worried about what people think of him. The Redskins are the 3rd most valuable NFL team.
  15. Snyder will have a decent chance of winning an appeal. It's pretty much pointless anyways. Nobody else will use the name.
  16. Bill Gates would want to move any team he bought to Seattle. Fortunately Seattle already has the Seahawks. If Ballmer does end up with the Clippers, he will eventually bring them to Seattle. He can deny it all that he wants to. The Bills are valued at $900 Million. It peeves me off that they could end up selling for more than twice that.
  17. A lot of people now believe that Terry Pegula (owner of the Buffalo Sabres) is going to take a serious run at buying the Bills. He was already worth $3.3 Billion dollars before he sold huge tracts of land that he owned over the Marcellus natural gas shale area for another $1.75 Billion last week. After taxes that will make him worth just about $4.5-$4.75 Billion. He has expressed interest in the past about owning the Bills. He was also once a long-time season tickets holder back when he also was a Sabres season ticket holder. Because of that jackass Sterling in the NBA, the price tag for professional sports franchises skyrocketed the second that Steve Ballmer put his pen to a piece of paper saying that he would buy the Clippers for $2 Billion. An NFL team is worth much more than an NBA team. Now Terry Pegula has the liquidity to buy them outright. The saving grace though is that any bidders that want to relocate the Bills within the next 6 years would have to pay $400 million to do so. Jokers like Jon Bon Jovi's potential group are now basically out of the running. Over the last few years, Toronto couldn't make it any more obvious that they don't want an NFL team.
