  1. That looks like that old Commandos game.
  2. People were either "lets wait to see more" or "not impressed" with the Cyberpunk demo just now.
  3. Individualism over collectivism. People can't be inconvenienced the slightest for the sake of the community. I'm surprised it worked out so well here considering there are plenty of people like that around here too.
  4. Price gouging? $200 for a 30 minute cleaning at the dentist.

The most effective way to save $$ at the dentist is to floss those chompers on the daily

Which Brit Queenie(Victoria?) had wooden chompers from her love for chocolate?

Any assistants look like this and rock like this?

  5. $&!# hole countries being dragged through even more $&!# because of fanatical right wing populist leaders. Conservatives were quick to bash Cuomo but with Arizona having 1/3 the population of New York, they're very soon to pass them in number of cases. He clearly did the right things at the advice of the doctors.
  6. And it's better for car insurance rates (should be with less idiots on the road dog piling on the number 1 every day), and obviously better for the environment. If we're serious about contributing to the reduction of emissions then a work at home policy should become the norm where applicable. My carbon foot print has gone to almost zero because of all this.
  7. I'm not hooked on caffeine. I went all week without coffee so it's not a problem. I do decaf a lot instead. Just considering it as an alternative to coffee every now and then. All I drink otherwise is water #yawn
  8. Has anybody tried chicory root? It's not coffee but a coffee alternative. I bought it because I drink a lot of it and do try to do less (everything in moderation). It's supposed to taste like coffee but it's not.
  9. Who here has gone all organic vegetables and grass fed/organic protein. Have you noticed any difference?
  10. True. In my experience most girls don't care. And I've got more remarks from guys than girls.
  11. But the hysteria around the virus in this province is nauseating. The virus is here, will continue to come here, and it's going to ramp up when the border does officially open because that will have to happen one day soon. The goal was to keep the hospitals from being overwhelmed, and now it appears the goal is to get the number of cases to zero. New Zealand proved that the second you open the border and allow travel the numbers are going to go up. Given our proximity to WA and AB it seems likely to me we could be right back where we were in March. So either you keep everything locked down and hide behind plastic screens and this and that and strangle small businesses to death and wait for a vaccine which many are going to refuse until they get sick, and even then may refuse it still, or you open the doors ultimately, eventually, and let whatever happens happen.
  12. Treatment costs on a junkie with high potential of relapse to that of a very risky stock with high potential of falling in the toilet for example, yes, they're both a huge gamble.
  13. I knew a dead beat like that. He's better now. But he stole from friends, family, pawned electronics and jewelry for pennies on the dollar. Treatment is absolutely no guarantee. And it's far from cheap. It's like putting $30,000 into an extremely questionable stock and praying, or putting it all on black. And what if they relapse? Do it again or let them fare for themselves? Tax payer is burdened with enough bull$&!#; why subsidize yet another person's terrible life choices because in most cases it was a choice despite FULLY being well aware of the consequences.
  14. Maybe not. Dow is back up hundreds in after hours trading; there's no end to the party when the Fed can print off unlimited money and continue to prop it up. It's not reflective of the state of the economy evidently..
  15. Give crack heads free drugs and places to shoot up expect them to die. At the minimum OD. Never a mention of the mental toll it takes on the first responders reviving these dead beats.
  16. Ozark 8/10 They sure don't wait to throw you into the deep end with the very first episode.
  17. 16 kids showed up at the local school today. Most of them online aren't doing their assignments ever since they were informed they would all get to pass regardless. It's been summer vacation for them since March.
  18. My experience being I couldn't do more than 315 for 6 without straps without the bar slipping out. With straps I went up to 400 in a few weeks because my lower body was ready and my hand strength was lagging behind and slowing me down. Maybe my hand strength eventually caught up but I never verified it once I had straps.
  19. https://www.roguecanada.ca/schiek-1100ws-ultimate-wrist-supports?gclid=CjwKCAjwt-L2BRA_EiwAacX32Trh_D8g0U2Xlm3TiLM8W4-rU9MAlAYCZ5P00Gs1-m2gpkqjvDdKthoCvzkQAvD_BwE I use these & they survive daily wear and tear for years
  20. Use straps; hand strength is almost irrelevant
  21. So I guess the economy has no bearing on the market as I've always been told. Riots, virus, 40 million unemployed. Or at least the trillions pumped into the market are keeping it afloat, for now.
  22. It'll come back once they open the border/allow international travel. We'll be back where we were when this started, if not worse.
