Calgary can Kickstart a great rebuild if they go full sell.
-
LOL Flames, what a disaster, Canucks will finish 15 points ahead of those peasants next season

Where is that link that shows the last 10 years the Canucks record of the last 20 games per season? Anyone know?

Getting really sick of all the media talking heads falling all over each other criticizing EVERYTHING the Canucks are doing. Give us a trade! We hate the trade! Management is stupid! They are doing everything exactly the wrong way! They should be doing this! They should be doing that! We are way smarter than the guys who have been doing this all their adult lives! We want the team to keep losing so they can get more draft picks! We want the team to win so free agents will want to come here! All I know is that the next time ANY of them say anything positive, it will be the first time.

will gonchar inspire the russian players to excell?

Going to the game on Saturday. Looking forward to it...this year's started off pretty damn awful so far...need a fun night out. Let's go Canucks!
-
I'll be there as well. Personally I am shifting my thinking. I had great expectations going into this year that have lead to great disappointment.
I am now accepting the year as a write off and I've decided that I'm going to enjoy the rest of it. A win is always fun. A loss is Bedard baby steps. Lol. Win-Win.

Jannik Hansen: "You heard Jim on After Hours, you're hearing retool on the fly, fixing it as they go... they started this 10y ago when they fired AV. I haven't seen the fruits of this labour. Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me. The next step is shaking the tree, and from the top."

Dang, Im thinking Poolman is done.
-
OEL's reaction seems to suggest it is head related again - if so Poolman may be unable to play anytime soon. Nux get LTIR relief but that doesn't cover bonuses so there can be a downside going forward.
The causes of recurring migraines that he has are not well known and not necessarily curable. It can be debilitating for years and years for anyone, not just hockey players.

can anyone rate the defensemen's over-all games last night, best to worst? i had trouble picking out the numbers.

is there any news on when roarke will be back?
-
If you watched the sideline interview with him game before last he says he is working on coming back as soon as possible. So I don't think it is a done deal yet that he misses the rest of the season. I think it is 50/50 not 100% that he misses the rest of the year - based on his comments alone. His injury was Aug 19 and his surgery was a week or so after that. 8 weeks is before the end of regular season. And no, it is not months after that. That's not right. I think he has a shot at being available for the final home game or the first playoff game. Let's see...heck of a player though!

I somehow passed my CPA CFE. Still having trouble believing it's finally over.
I still have to get experience to become a CPA, but the worst of it is over.

Guy goes to his lawyer and asks what is 2 plus 2? Lawyer says it depends on a number of factors but we will try to convince the Judge it is 4.
Guy goes to an engineer and says what is 2 plus 2? Engineer pulls out a slide rule and says I think I can prove without a shadow of a doubt that it is 4.
Guy goes to his accountant and says what is 2 plus 2? Accountant closes the door, pulls down the blinds, leans in and says, what do you want it to be?

How about something totally radical. Like a one month break from people making trade JT Miller proposals?
-
are there odds on whether JT resigns here or gets moved?

I think it is at least 50/50 that he re-signs (correct spelling).
Miller is a leader and a star here. In Tampa he was behind the star players. This is his chance to make his career a real success by leading a team from mediocrity to the cup and the Canucks are trending up. I don't see him wanting out like Gaudreau and Tkachuck.
His agent says he'd like to stay. The Canucks are interested. By all accounts the Canucks are at 40M right now and he is at 60m. They will likely get it done at 50M imo.

Listening to Jim Rutherford on Dhali and Donnie really gives you some perspective on the teams direction

john shannon, when asks where he thinks JT is traded to, he said he thinks NYR.

Marky, Tanev, Guddy, and Tofu wooooooo!
-
LA is on pace for 96.2 points. If we win 7 of 8 remaining, we get 96 points, so a 7-0-1 record is probably the worst we can do and still make it reliably.
-
Imagine letting Tanev walk.

Why do I keep seeing Elias Pettersson trade articles? How about we don't trade him! Just a thought.
-
There are a select number of people here who value trade prognostications over all else in the hopes that they "called it first". Sad really.
Petey needs to be mentored by the Sedins. Week in week out until he fully develops. They are on the payroll and have a track record of going from disappointments to stars through hard work. Perfect mentors for a young swedish kid.

Media: hearing 4-6 new cases
Real Life: no new cases, team travelling to SJ

Why is Calgary doing so well? I have a feeling it has something to do with getting an NHL coach. Suter is doing an amazing job over there. Considering a lot of players are recent canucks, that must say a lot about what a coach can do.

Nicknames for Roussel-Beagle-Louie line in Arizona?

Really would appreciate mod approval being needed for threads being started by people with very low post counts, at least until school is back in session.
