Fantastic. And to my point. We have a bright future. Imagine winning the lottery and adding Dahlin. Tryamkin is a talented guy but the nux need to move on from him. Character is lacking. Commitment to the team who drafted him is non existent.
-
Ya but canucks have 2 picks at 5th overall included in their 4 picks in the tourney. Much higher than just about everybody.
-
Yup Zepp. Decisions by committee rule the day. For example leaving Dube off the team means opening up criticism along the lines of they left off a guy who was there last year. Committee thinking is we don't want to be open to that criticism. So he makes the team. Leaving off Lind is easily justified by - he had mono. Committee thinks that's true. So he is off the team. When a committee decides, the decision drifts toward the safe choice based on avoiding criticism for the selection committee. True in every walk of life, not just hockey.

Nope. When he turned his back on the Canucks and walked out the door it hit him on the ass. From that point on its time to look at the many other players who could join the team and bring not only talent but heart and commitment to our future. Those players will be more positive to the teams success than a guy who every player knows quit on them at one point.

I agree with you on wanting a cup. Have been a fan forever and I feel your pain. Where I disagree is compromising on character. Personally I believe character produces championships. Try is a guy who quit on his team because wah wah wah. So for me I say see you later. I want top to bottom heart and soul guys. Not selfish whiners.
-
I completely disagree. The organization comes first. Not the employee or the boss. Nux are on their way to an exciting rebuild. Guys who bailed are out. Try is not a character guy. Look lots of people have put the organization ahead of their own selfish needs. He didn't. See ya later.
-
When employees have conditions on joining your organization and then quit to go elsewhere you should be in no rush to want them back. 30 years running 4 offices has taught me that. Try could have stayed and been having a great year. But he quit the team. Good riddance. Sorry to all the great fans who liked what he brought - including me. But it's over when someone does what he did. We have character guys on the team going forward.

A top 5 in the 1st and 2nd rounds plus another first rounder in the 20 to 30 spot would be really great for our future. Say a 5, 25 and 36 in 2018. Helluva nice thought. Not impossible if mngmt moves guddy or vanek or..

Small victory but gadjovich is already under contract. Nice that. Could he get a few games if his junior season ends early? Lookin fwd to this guy. Just what the nucks young core needs.
-
Yes he is playing. Number 10.
-
Looks good on the penalty kill. Like the looks of this kid. Truculence
-
His offensive instincts, passing and shot look really good. Skating speed a bit of a question. He still needs work playing physical in front of his own net and tightening up defensively. Shows progress though.

Interesting to note that while brock has 27 points in 27 games Caggiula, his college linemate has 7 points in 20 games for the Oilers. That's very telling. Wow. Brock way to go. With all the injuries and negativity it is really a blessing to be watching a Canuck rookie have a year like this! And Oh ya he currently has one more point Than Matthews this year...

Goldy nice game. Great play on the assist. Nice work chasing down pucks and battling on the boards. Earned some more games tonight.
-
Nope. He is being strung along so Burmistrov can play. Sorry partner the truth is right there. They're afraid to lose burm on waivers so to this point Goldy hasn't got a shot. Now. There's room for Goldy to play so let's see what happens tomorrow
-
Goldobin is an exciting prospect. If the nux were further along in their rebuild they would be more confident putting him in. Right now there's reluctance since they are still playing it "safe" with signed ufas.
-
Petersson is a great prospect. No one thinks we should rush him. Everyone wants to see him play when he's ready.
-
Gaunce Sandlak Pyatt. I think Gaunce gets more credit than he's due. This type of player is not on your team when you are contending. History proves that out. His role needs a guy with grit. Sorry.

Bought this original Brodeur at a showing Richard had about 8 years ago. Talked a lot of Canucks. Miss Burr and our Quebec connections. Great players!

Johnathan Toews was drafted 3rd overall Horvat 9th. Toews has great character and is a leader. Ditto Horvat. Toews has a number of years with points in the 50s and 60s. Horvat had 52 last year and is on pace for at least that this year. I see Horvat on a similar career path to Toews. Plus I'd rather have Bo than Monahan. So just sayin he could surprise you. For me...absolutely I think he can be a number 1 Centre and leader on this team. Bet you a beer.

Tryamkin's character is in question. He called out his coach and the city of Vancouver as he bolted. Talented guy but he may not have the character to fit in with an up and coming young Canucks core. The team is on the rise. This team will be good regardless and we don't need to compromise for any individual. So a little contrition is needed if he wants to be accepted back.....or else pass.

Lind(en) looking good. This guy the second coming of Trev lol. Lot a fun.
-
Full Lindy. Big league shot.
-
He may absolutely become a 1C. However if Gaudette is capable of being 1C then Elias slots in at wing and we've got some magic happening with Boeser and Horvat in the mix. That'
