    The NHL website writers never cease to amaze me at their anti-Canucks bias. Last week I was shocked to see they had listed Markstrom as only the 13th best goalie in the post-season. But now they have put out an article about the top 16 centers in the post-season and Petey didn't even make the list. What kind of mockery of the sport is this?

      NHL.Com turned to complete crap about five years ago. I'm guessing Bettman's nephew designed the new format. I seldom visit their pathetic site!

      No they are long gone, I've been through many pairs ( mostly Roller Blades ) since the early mid 90's when I owned those Ultras.

      I would go with Cassidy in Boston. Came off a long season (SCF) and right out of the gate has had that team in first place all year.

      Burkie layed out three goups of coaching categories to consider from. Green was in the group with the club facing adversity to injuries etc. Another group were the surprise or improved teams from last year. The odds on winner group were the coaches with the best records in the league.

    Scenario crossed my mind today.  Canucks miss playoffs, Benning is out, new GM trades Boeser (best trade chip) for top D-man, ships out Meyers for picks and signs Barrie.  Sutter and Rousell also moved, as is Erickson (thanks to cap raising) and Bennings junior squad work their way up to big club.  Toffoli and Marky obviously resigned.  Am I way off here?  Hope they make the playoffs.

      I'm not clear on what your saying  but I understand the business of hockey from this perspective...

       

      I recall Pat Quinn shaping the years for many NHL management types including Brian Burke, George Mcphee and Dave Nonis.

       

      Benning would likely support Judd if oppurtunities came his way, Pat was like that too. They totally get it, career building.

      Barrie doesn't fit our needs on D!

       

      Hughes does whatever excites you about Barrie - 10 times better!

       

      Hughes' contract is the best in the league too!

    1- J.T. Miller - 63 pts, 105 hits
    2 - Alexander Ovechkin - 60 pts, 167 hits

      I figured JT for 60 - 70 points with top line minutes and first unit powerplay, otherwise JB doesn't make the deal.

       

      Some of us were 100% behind it. In Benning we trust!

      Pearson's numbers are 18 goals - 24 assists, 42 pts in 62 games.

       

      Fifty plus is on the radar, what a season!
