  1. Ummmm...doubt it. People involved in this type of thing are deranged. And he was dealing with some of the world’s most powerful people, he wasn’t just in it by himself.
  2. The minute anything outlandish is suggested, people call the conspiracy card and ignore it (without even doing any of their own research). There is a lot of stuff like this going on....and it’s truth, (or, at the very least, a lot of truth in it) not conspiracy. People need to wake up!!
  3. Latest update on Duke - August 9, 2019 Journal entry by Laurie Boeser — 49 minutes ago Duke remains on the ventilator. He went thru a couple days of agitation (most likely a side effect from a medication given - which he is no longer taking) and that hindered some progress. His pneumonia is also zapping his energy level so we continue to wait for a potential removal of the ventilator. He has developed ICU delirium which ‘comes with the territory’ per the nurses and doctors. Of course, he is already mentally compromised by his Parkinson’s disease and traumatic brain injury (car accident in 2012). His eyes are open but he is not interactive. I think ‘time’ is what he needs....time to rest, time to heal, time to recover. The doctors commented to me about the family support he has been given at the hospital and how they wished other patients were so fortunate. He is truly blessed! So prayer warriors - please keep those prayers coming!!
  4. Update on Duke ..... encouraging news! August 7, 2019 Journal entry by Laurie Boeser — 1 hour ago Duke is improving! He may get off the ventilator in the next day or two. His pneumonia is improving. He is more alert but not too happy about a tube in his throat. Thank you to those of you who have provided delicious meals, sent beautiful flowers, and dropped off gift cards. It is so helpful. Prayers are holding our family up! Also, if you have never taken a CPR class, consider signing up for a class or google ‘CPR - chest compressions’. No more mouth to mouth is required. You can save a life!
  5. I posted an update yesterday....scroll up!
  6. Update on Caring Bridge August 3, 2019 Journal entry by Laurie Boeser — 2 hours ago Duke has developed pneumonia which is not uncommon for ICU patients. They have determined the type of infection and are treating it. They sat him up in a chair although he remains semi-alert. He continues to be on the ventilator. Otherwise he remains stable. An MRI of the brain is scheduled today to determine if any damage occurred while he had heart failure. We cherish every day and ask for the prayers to continue as the power of prayer works! We are limiting visits at the hospital to family and close friends. Our heartfelt thanks to family, friends, neighbors, and Vancouver Canuck fans for your support. You are truly giving our family strength especially Duke!
  7. Lol....I watched the shrinkage episode the other day. Classic.
  8. Same.....I was at that game also....4 rows up from the Canucks bench. It was the game that said to me....Petey is the real thing.
  9. Update posted by Brock’s Mom on the Caring Bridge. Newest Update August 1, 2019 Journal entry by Laurie Boeser — 38 minutes ago Duke remains in critical condition. We remain cautiously optimistic because of these small signs of improvement such as making eye contact, squeezing a finger, moving his feet, and shedding some tears. He remains on a ventilator and each hour that passes is important for his healing and progress. We grab onto every sign of hope. Please continue to pray for a man who has endured more than anyone ever deserves. Please also keep our children in your prayers to stay strong like their dad.
  10. I thought I had quoted you @King Heffy ....not sure what happened..... Years ago I had Rogers cable and stupidly was on an auto payment. One month they took out 3x my monthly amount and refused to give it back. Went through a huge rigmarole with them and never got it back, they just kept it as a credit on my account.
  11. I figure they are waiting for a tip or sighting....instead of chasing them, they’ll let them make a move first.

  13. Remember when you could call a package of bacon, a pound of bacon? Those days are gone forever...they are now 375g. Package size shrunk, but the price didn’t, of course.
  14. Duke is dealing with so much.....he also has Parkinson’s and shortly after his diagnosis was seriously injured (brain damage and worsening of the Parkinson’s) when struck by a driver going through a red light, and then cancer. Poor man does not deserve this.
  15. A bit off topic; but wanted to mention Brock’s recent Instagram post asking for prayers for his dad Duke....would be greatly appreciated.
  16. I used to play poker a lot in a beer league and home games. Played in Vegas tourneys a few times, not WSOP lol, just small nightly ones at hotels. Came in 3rd once. I remember playing at a local casino once and the prize was a buy in for a big tourney at the River Rock....I came in 2nd I used to go watch the WSOP in Vegas and the Heads Up tourney at Caesars. Met lots of the big players. When in Vegas I just play BJ or the slots now. I would like to learn craps some day. I play (free) online slots with MyVegas (for MGM rewards) or Wynn slot app to earn free rooms.
  17. My Dad’s side of the family is from Battleford...salt of the earth people.
