  1. Eating meat is not a belief, it’s a biological reality that is fundamental to every human being’s metabolic nature and history as a species. Toddlers salivate at the smell of meat from the moment they are able to digest solid food, this I can scientifically cite. Denial of what you are as an organism is the definition of delusion, by the way. This makes vegans delusional or failure at self acceptance. They have every right to their choice of food, but they do not have the right to pass off their technologically biased cognitive dissonance as morality. It isn’t. There is no superior morality in denying fundamental aspect of existence such as food. Not to mention, vegans in large numbers represent a quantifiable and empiric threat to our species itself.
  2. This so called ethics is a religious view not based on facts. If consumption of meat is at the cost of someone’s life, so is consumption of plants. All scientific evidence say so and your vertebral cognitive bias towards other vertibrates isn’t morality, its cognitive dissonance.
  3. What happens when a player’s salary and cap hit are not equal and they are in a retained salary transaction ? Like for eg, if player A has 2 years left at 10 million cap hit and say 6 million in actual salary left, how does ‘50%’ retained transaction work ? Does the team retain 50% of remaining salary as well ? Does the team retain 2.5 million in cap hit and 2.5 million in salary hit or do they retain 2.5 mil in cap hit and 2 mil in salary hit ?
  4. An easier answer that’d require political balls to do, would be to crush Provincialism into dust and strengthen centralization of Canada.
  5. There is no cleanup to worry about in real value terms.
  6. There is no reason for concern over an industry that is one of the safest known to mankind in terms of viability of operations. Yes, your concern is valid if taken from continuous improvement perspective, its invalid when taken from operational viability regarding safety perspective. Your arguments are identical to those against nuclear power.
  7. Yep. Pointing out how an industry isn’t 100% safe is fearmongering against that industry. Nothing more. Facts have not changed. Facts are oil shipping is one of the safest industry and oil shipping in similar waters to bc is operating at 100% safety since the said technological leaps. Pointing out how oil industry isn’t 100% safe is not a valid argument, since nobody said it is, not is an industry legslly required to be 100% safe to operate. Ponting out minor spills of negligible ecological consequence is irrelevant to the discussion and fearmongering by definition.
  8. A minor spill with negligible ecological impact is yet again fearmongering. Shifting goalposts from oil shipping to pipeline maintenance. What else to expect from scientific morons who are eco fundamentalists and anti industry tools of the real estate business.
  9. Yep. Okay with that. Eyesores = industrial buildings with noise pollution and belching waste products. Iron mills, concrete factories, coking stations, etc. I want industry here, with jobs, not manicured lawns for the worlds richest to play in while the locals get pushed out due to anti industry stance of Vancouver.
  10. I know, because the facts are self evident. World ships oil in similar but worse conditions to Bc coast. Ie colder, stormier, with more fog and with presence of narrow waterways. Zero incidents in such conditions. Ie, 100% success rate.
  11. Yep. Shouldn’t be concerned. Your concern is anti industry fearmongering.
  12. The ones operating in similar conditions to BC hydrological conditions are operating at 100% safety. Seems like English is not your strong suit.
  13. Its not a scientifically valid concern because it’s ONE OF THE SAFEST INDUSTRIES KNOWN TO MANKIND WITH OONE OF THE GREATEST SUCCESS RATES KNOWN.Those are the facts, fearmongerer.
  14. I said one of the safest. As in top 1% safest industry on the planet.
  15. Red herring. It’s not 100% safe, nothing is, its not required to be 100% safe. To demand 100% safety of any industry is to be anti industry. Maybe we should ban your industry for not being 100% safe. Fearmongering in display won’t get you far for l9nger. Bc is waking up to your types being tools to our real estate industry.
  16. Learn to read. It doesn’t change the fact that it’s still one of the most safest industrial practice known to mankind and the numbers quoted are insignificant.
  17. Please post the data per yearly, in similar conditions to BC and what the sustainable rate of petrochemical loss to the oceans are, ecologically. The world does not lose 0.75 million barrels of crude per annum via shipping of oil.
  18. They are not, because it is one of the safest things we do in the world. That’s a fact. People ship oils through worse climate and hydrological conditions than the bc coast and it’s been operating at 100% success rate since gps weather monitoring tech and fog penitrating radar became available in the early 90s.
  19. False analogy. Shipping dillbit is safe because oil shipping in our waters is safe. People ship oil in worse waters with no disaster. For all of its shipping existence. That is a fact. When something is tried and tested and one of the safest things to do, going what’s gonna happen if it blows up is called fearmongering. Just like against nuclear power.
  20. It’s not a valid scientific concern and is pure fearmongering.
  21. Most bc residents are pro industry and most bc residents are against this fake enviromnentalism that is about preserving scenic beauty of bc for the real estate industry at the expense of bc residents.
  22. Okay. Since you want to dismiss Robb’s opinion as a jet setting non west coaster, as a 18 year west coaster myself, I consider your type to be fear mongering, anti scientific, anti trade tools of the real estate industry who are against the best interests of most bc residents.
  23. Speak for yourself, I as a BCer want industry. Industry means some spills here and there, some eyesores here and there. We are not interested in being slaves to ultra rich real estate destinationville thst is pushing out most of the locals.
  24. Diligent disaster is scientific scaremongering. Hasn’t been a disaster, similar routes with worse risks have been operational and sans disaster.
  25. Proving once again you make propagandist statements. YOUR OWN DAMN WORDS: 1. Migrant crisis started in the mid 2000s. 2. Becomes uncontrollable in mid to late 2010s. 3. Direct result of bombing. reality: 1.nobody bombed Syria or other main regions of migration crisis in the mid 2000s. Arab spring happened in 2009. 2. Syrian refugee crisis happened before outside powers bombed Syria. Commie propaganda exposed yet again.
