Putin: Western liberalism is obsolete, outlived its purpose.
canuckistani replied to sam13371337's topic in Off-Topic General
All vacuous claims that have been demonstrated false over and over again. This is why you disappear, because leftist totalitarians cannot stand being exposed publicly. We know your commie playbook by heart. Not because of propaganda vs commies spread in the west prior, but because we were once upon a time dumb enough to give power to the commies. You can can keep repeating your nonsense over and over again and I will keep exposing it as basic commie nonsense over and over again. -

Lol. We cannot move away from capitalism because it is still way way better than full scale socialism. Socialized economies do not work without capitalist engine underlay, world has proved that over and over and over again. We don’t need to move away from the best solution, even if it’s not a perfect solution. For the simple fact that capitalism enriches the masses, not just the ultra rich and socialism makes everyone poor. Capitalism has raised more people out of poverty than socialism by few orders of magnitude. -

What basic facts were ignored ?? You wanted to play sophistry, which I called you out on and you disappeared. Says the guy exposed for leftist nonsense every damn day and who went MIA when his questions were answered. But yes I realize, you are a leftist. Like leftists globally, you do the whole smear, run and censor act. New flash buddy, we who actually put commies in power know the leftist game, this is by you run away from us. This immutable fact does not support a totalitarian statement of ‘ right starts wars, left deals with them’. Left also starts wars and is quite happy to continue them. Hahahahaha. Obama is culpable of continuing the war over eight years, promising victory. He was the next baton holder, like in a relay race. It’s okay, little fragile one, go hide in your leftist echo chamber and I will continue to expose your nonsense as nonsense for others to see. -
[Proposal] Loui Erickson trade
canuckistani replied to canuckistani's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
I had another interesting idea, that may work. Demolition is still waiver exempt. A like for like trade, in terms of bad contracts, may be the only way out. As such.... would New Jersey be open to taking a 1 for 1 exchange involving Loui and Schneider ?? They are roughly the same value IIRC. in in this scenario, we send Demko to the Ahl for a few months, opening with Markstrom and Schneider duo, Then we turn around and trade Marky for picks( and they’d be second round or better if he continues his form of the last 1.5 seasons), promote Demko and go with Demko- Schneider combo. It has the added benefit of giving us a disposable goalie ( Schneider) to expose to the expansion draft. -
Global war requires nations with global standing to wage war against each other to the fullest extent. US has never spearheaded a global war, simply because it’s home front is never threatened. US has joined in global wars. So for a global war to happen, we either need an existential threat to the US from another nation or repeat condition of the world wars- where nations of global standing wage war and US to join in. Former category does not exist and the only scenario for a latter scenario is an India-China war that gradually sucks in the major powers in a domino effect. Is that likely ? Not very. India and China, especially the former, has little incentive to wage war right now and both are consumed by lifting its citizens out of poverty. To compound the problem, neither country is very invadable by the other: both have powerful navies and their coasts are far enough away to make a d-day landing scenario impossible. Indians would sink any Chinese flotilla the moment it sails out of the Malaccas and the Chinese would do the same if any Indian flotilla sails into the Malaccas. And given how we still lack the medical and material technology to wage prolonged war 7 km above sea level, the Himalayas will continue to be a major war deterrent between the two. A third possibility exists and is far more likely: an India-Pakistan war that sucks in China, followed by the US and NATO, followed by Japan, SoKo, Taiwan, NoKo, etc. That is the most likely scenario of a global war. And it will depend on just how crazy the PakistNi military gets in goading India and just how vital does China rate CPEC to be- enough to wage war with India ? Who knows. But the ultimate victor of such a global war would be Russia, since they would remain the only major power that can successfully walk the neutral or friends to both sides.

You said the ludicrous falsehood that the right starts wars and left deals with them. Simply not true as evidence shows. The US foreign policy is unified. Just about the only thing Fox News, CNN and MSNBC agree on is foreign policy. -

Nonsense. In many countries the fear of losing mandate has lead governments to bow to populist mandates. That most of the western democracies are lassoes-fairez does not change this. Again, North America centric right vs left is hardly the measure of worldwide democracies. Nothing more than west centric myopia. And India. And Thailand. And Brazil. And Germany. And Denmark. Your views are just opinions, not shared by many. Reductionist argument as these are steeped in ignorance of actual democratic history of the world. -

Neither do I. If you think I obviously have anti China vendetta, then I can easily say you have pro China apologism. It’s clear from you terming British annexation of Hong Kong as unfair but silence on Chinese annexation of Tibet and Dzungaria. And I call BS on that. The terms of Power transfer to PRC was permanent ‘one nation two systems’ policy, where Hong Kong would never be subject to PRCs socialist system and Hong Kong’s economic system would remain unaltered till 2047. Its part of the Hong Kong declaration that PRC agreed to and PRC’s sovereignty claims on Hong Kong hinges on it. I am not saying they have legal right to meddle right now. I am saying British conquest of Hong Kong was equally valid as Chinese conquest of Tibet and Dzungaria. These ‘dead enders’ as you call them are holding PRC ACCOUNTABLE for their end of the secession agreement, which PRC is violating. LOL at superpower. China may become a super power, but right now the world only has one superpower and its USA. CHINA is a dominant regional power that can’t even conquer an island 100 Km’s from its coast despite threatening to do so. USA will not let China rise to superpower-dom. Already they are leveraging India against PRC and it will accelerate, as USA has granted ROI special status for arms and tech transfer. USA isn’t going to stop China’s rise, they are going to simply arm India to the teeth to keep Asia multipolar and China on the Back foot in the Indian Ocean, curtailing it to a regional power status. And for that, PRC has nobody but itself to blame, thanks to it eating up ROI territory and antagonizing the only nation that can match it this century. -

The fact that they are recognized by the UN , especially South Sudan, says otherwise. Sudan did not recognize the secession of South Sudan before the UN did. its also rich for Pro-PRC lobbyists to cite UN rules when it suits them. Tell us what the UN charter on human rights state, something China is signatory to and its stance towards it. World is now noticing Chinese duplicity towards its citizens and its neighbourhood and sooner or later, China will have to answer. There isn’t anything propagandist about democracy to Hong Kong. It was promised by China, including its autonomous status during the handover. If China impinges on its promise, HK has legal right to terminate said agreement. What world power ?? I am a fan of Putin myself but to say that he’s turned Russia into a world power is cuckoo. Russian military is at its weakest, so is its economy, in 50 years. And Putin is a dictator due to voting fraud. Nobody wins elections by 90% margins, ever, without fraud. Or get their independence. China has been brought to its knees in the past before, it can be done again and most of Asia will rejoice in that way more than the west. You act like propaganda is coming only from our side, when reality is PRC is the King Kong of propaganda. -

Which is why I mentioned the human rights charter too. UN recognizes session under those conditions, most recently being East Timor and a South Sudan. Right of conquest is irrelevant to the discussion of right of secession. Nobody is arguing in favour of Hong Kong being conquered by an outside power. It never changed. It just got dressed up as moralism, that any literate person sees through. I see how you have no counter to the simple fact that British conquest of HK was equally valid as Chinese conquest of Tibet and Dzungaria. -

Chinese people are far more indoctrinated than the western ones, who are also fairly indoctrinated. Travelling in China has taught me this, very clearly. Not even the most educated Chinese people who’ve never left the mainland know of Tiananmen Square incident. They are taught that Tibet and Dzungaria was always Chinese, when history shows they were anything but till Qing conquests in the current continuity( first time ever Tibet was directly ruled from outside Tibet was under the Mongols). They are taught that their aggression against India in 1962 was defensive, so was their aggressive disaster against Vietnam in the 80s. That’s a whole different level of indoctrination. -

Because provinces in Canada are not facing systematic oppression from the center that curtails the human rights of its residents. I’ve made it clear that systematic discrimination or suppression of human and political rights are valid grounds for secessionist movements, rest are not. -

canuckistani replied to Lancaster's topic in Off-Topic General
Lol what a whole load of Sino-centric nonsense. 1. The UN charter on sovereignty and the UN charter on human rights make it clear that if there is systematic oppression of rights of a given region by sovereign power, that region is within its rights to secession. 2. There was nothing unfair about UK’s conquest of Hong Kong. The ceremony in 1999 is officially known as the transfer of sovereignty, meaning UK was sovereign of Hong Kong. Besides, UK’s conquest of Hong Kong is equally valid as China’s conquest of Tibet or Dzungaria(renamed Xinjiang). The entire basis of Chinese state for the last 2250 years is via colonial conquest. What’s good for the goose is good for the gander. If China can spend $$ propping up Maoist insurgents in their neighboring states and spread Totalitarian propaganda, so can the rest to China. At least we are not the totalitarian douches who treat our citizens like pseudo slaves with no rights. -

[Signing] Jordie Benn signs with Canucks
canuckistani replied to CanucksCountry's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
He is more comparable with Tanev than Guddy. 17th in the league last season overall for TOI on PK, 50th amongst D-men for hits( keep in mind that #30th in the list has only 20 more hits than him all season), 50th in blocked shots too ( again,#20th on the list has only 20 more blocks than him). Very efficient in his own end and a well rounded defenceman. -

Great news. Perfect man for Vancouver. Only thing missing in his game are big time sandpaper style abrasiveness. He is basically a left shot Tanev. Elite PK-er, plays both sides and good outlet pass. Should be in the 2-3 years at 3.5-4M zone. Takes pressure off of Edler and Hughes by being the first choice PK-er.
